I just wanted to buy something for my son at ING (via his Junior Depot). $EWG2 (+0,16%) buy. Unfortunately, it's not possible because it's apparently too complex and not allowed in the Junior Depot to protect minors. So far so patronizing, but good. My next thought: I'll just buy it via my ING account and make a transfer.

Now to the question:

Has anyone already $EWG2 (+0,16%) transferred to a Junior Depot within ING?

Thanks in advance & best regards

Update: Transfer of $EWG2 from ING Adult to Junior Depot works!

This would have to be a gift including the usual transfer fees, if I'm not mistaken.

@Staatsmann Yes, I've already transferred various things to him. Always from ING to ING, it was also free of charge. The question is whether they would refuse the transfer from EUWAX?

@Johann_van_der_Smut Why don't you ask ING? At least they have a well-functioning customer service

Good to know. I didn't know there were any restrictions on junior deposits.
@randomdude Yes, the conditions say so:

"In order to protect minors from the risk of speculative investments, the Direkt-Depot Junior generally excludes investments in complex products such as discount certificates or warrants. The only exception is real estate funds. These can be traded, just like basic products."

@KBO Real estate funds are known to be super unspeculative and safe. Concrete gold!!!11!

Have you tried XetraGold? Or a physical gold ETF?

@Epi Nope. I have attached a screenshot. I think the ones you mentioned won't work either!

@Johann_van_der_Smut Oh, banks are often inscrutable. Just give it a try!
TR doesn't have EuwaxII either, but a physical gold ETC. 🤷

@Epi What is important to me in this case is
1. tax-free
2. gold can be delivered

This would be the perfect exit strategy in the event that the filius does not have the necessary maturity to handle the money carefully when he comes of age

@Johann_van_der_Smut That leaves only XetraGold...

@Epi because of my two requirements or because I cannot buy euwax directly via Junior Depot?
immagine del profilo
@Epi Which one would that be? LG

@Johann_van_der_Smut Only EuwaxII and XetraGold can physically deliver gold in Germany. Ergo...

@Epi I can't buy XetraGold either

@Johann_van_der_Smut Then it won't work with your requirements.

Why don't you write to Support? They are pretty quick and good at replying.

Buy the offspring a nice gold coin

@Psychedelic_Sunflower yes, either like this or I simply invest money from him later in my custody account in euwax 2. It's easier to handle and also tax-free. But it would be nice. From a certain point in time, all his money would go into Euwax 2 and if he's just 18 and has a lot of nonsense in his head, he could simply have it paid out tax-free as a parent. That way, you could simply keep your hand on it for a certain amount of time
