3. Bolsonaro fires Petrobras CEO
Brazilโs president, Jair Bolsonaro has fired the CEO of oil producer Petrobras $PETR4 (+1,07%) , who is his second victim in two months. This comes after the company refused to sell fuel at a discount to consumers, warning of potential diesel shortages. Bolsonaro has also called for the election of a new board. Despite private investors owning more than 60% of the Petrรณleo Brasileiro $PETR4 (+1,07%) , the Brazilian government controls the company.
