Hey guys,

I have a question about the spreads on the ETF (S&P 500, A0YEDG)

When the NASDAQ exchange is open (15:30-23:00 I believe) I have a spread of 20 cents. Outside opening hours I have a spread of 10 cents.

So far I have only invested in ACWI and MSCI WORLD and there it is normally considerably less, about 3-5 cents difference.

My question is this normal for the ETF? When do you buy in order to have the lowest possible spreads?

Greetings

@PunktPunktKommaStrich and @KevinE: He is concerned with the spread (which is perceived as too high). Limit orders and savings plans do nothing to change that.

Limit Order is the magic word :))

Do you think you can time the market with individual purchases? Why not a savings plan?

I think you have to compare the spread in %. The absolute amount in cents depends on the share price of the ETF (e.g. 1% spread for 500 euros is more than 1% spread for 100 euros).
