Monday:
$KBC2 Kontron, a leader in IoT/embedded computing technology (ECT), has entered into an asset purchase agreement with Telit Cinterion, an Irvine, California-based company. This acquisition of Telit Cinterion's Cellular Automotive Module Unit represents an important strategic step for Kontron to expand its Internet-of-Things (IoT) portfolio with proprietary software technology. The assets of this unit generated revenues of just over €100 million in 2022 and will be integrated into Kontron Europe GmbH, a subsidiary of Kontron AG. The purchase price amounts to EUR 24.5 million. The closing is expected to be completed by August. The acquisition of Telit Cinterion's Cellular Automotive Module Unit will enable Kontron to expand its product portfolio, increase internal development resources and meet the growing demand for advanced 4G/5G solutions. By integrating Telit Cinterion's Cellular Automotive solutions into its own IoT software technology portfolio, Kontron further expands its expertise.

$TSLA (+4,29%) With new sales record. A total of 466,140 cars were delivered in the second quarter. Tesla is thus moving ever closer to the sales figures of BMW and Mercedes.
Tuesday:
The Nikkei 🇯🇵 was able to reach a new 33-year high yesterday. This morning, prices then came back a little.
The EU is relaxing the laws on #genetic engineering. This is likely to benefit Bayer in particular. With Monsanto, Bayer has $BAYN (+1,36%) bought the pioneer for genetically modified seeds. The EU is acting on a scientific basis, and concerns about genetically engineered seeds have so far proved unfounded. In the USA, Japan and soon China, it is already standard. Organic farmers are likely to be less enthusiastic.
Wednesday:
Acquisition at $BC8 (-0,12%) Bechtle: After the announcement of the acquisition, the Bechtle share is trading in the red. One of the reasons for this is that the purchase price is not public. The acquisition is Apixit. Apixit is a French cybersecurity and IT service provider. This could allow Bechtle to expand more into France, strengthen its core business, and at the same time branch out into the growth segment of cybersecurity. AI in particular is likely to further boost interest in cybersecurity from corporate customers. AI can be used to program malware faster and more efficiently. Phishing emails are becoming more realistic and pose a greater threat. This means that from a strategic point of view, the acquisition should make sense for Bechtle.

Producer prices in Europe are falling for the first time since 2020. Manufacturers in the industry lowered their prices by 1.5% in May, compared to the same month last year. Economists had expected a 1.3% drop. Producer prices are a good indicator of future inflation trends. Significantly lower energy prices in particular led to the decline.
The FOMC minutes show that the Fed is likely to raise key rates further. Many market participants had already expected the chance of cuts. Most recently, the Fed took a pause on interest rates.
Thursday:
Just about all indicators attest to a poor mood in industry. However, new orders were now well above expectations. By 6.4% rise in orders in May, compared with the previous month. Only 1.2% had been expected. Vehicle construction in particular increased.
According to the European statistics office Eurostat in Luxembourg, retail sales in the euro zone remained unchanged in May. Revenues stagnated at the same level as in the previous month. This is in contrast to the expectations of economists, who had forecast an increase of 0.2 percent. The sales trend was already unchanged in April, after revenues had fallen in the previous two months.

Friday:
Deutsche Börse announced back in April that it wants to acquire Simcorp. To do so, Deutsche Bank needs more than half of the shares in the Danish group. On Friday, Deutsche Börse announced that the offer period for the takeover of Danish software provider SimCorp will be extended. Originally, the offer was to end on July 13, but the new deadline has been moved to August 3. This decision was made as the German group needs additional time to obtain the necessary approvals from the regulatory authorities and to meet the regulatory conditions of the offer. It is expected that even the extended deadline will not be sufficient, which is why a further extension is planned. Currently, however, this is not yet possible due to regulatory requirements. Deutsche Börse expects that the necessary approvals will be obtained by the end of the third quarter.

The hydrogen subsidiary of $TKA (-1,74%) ThyssenKrupp Nucera is launching an IPO today. ThyssenKrupp is thus spinning off the technology of the future, which will probably be valued more highly on the stock market alone than as part of the Group.
