You could also put it cynically and say we are reducing our dependence on China (we could also produce this, by the way, but the "Michel" doesn't want to pay for it) and are becoming dependent on other "trustworthy" countries that have oil. And Germany and the EU in particular don't have that much oil. Everyone is allowed to do what they want within the legal framework, but to make such a sweeping statement is undifferentiated and often dangerous or even wrong.
