Me. As I understand it, the ADR program was terminated last year in August/September anyway, so the securities should be worthless.
Nevertheless, a small spark of hope remains😂

•@Malte123 In the meantime, the ADRs could have been exchanged for ordinary shares at some expense (including monetary), but this would have required a Russian custodian. This would probably only have been worthwhile for a fairly large amount.

•@Gigantic you cannot get a Russian depository or access to the broker without a Russian passport.

@Der_Dividenden_Monteur Online custody account with Gazprombank.
••
@Soprano is just 0 protected and you are threatened with penalties because you violate EU sanctions.
Russian shares are not tradable for us, everything else is a gray area or illegal.

@Soprano and after a few minutes of googling and the pages I found about it, it looks to me primarily like a huge scam from shady service providers 🤣

@Der_Dividenden_Monteur This does not violate EU sanctions at all, as no money flows to Russia (this is the condition for a criminal offense).
Apart from that, however, it violates the Basic Law that we are not simply compensated by the German state, as provided for in the constitution.

@Soprano No it doesn't, no idea where you read that nonsense.
The A in ADR stands for American, the EU or Germany had no say in this.
That's why you don't buy ADR shares (apart from Switzerland)

@Der_Dividenden_Monteur That makes no sense at all, I don't want to be compensated for the continuation of the ADR program, but for the securitized property.
The ADRs only represent the right to shares. These are stored in depositories in Frankfurt and Luxembourg. Even if I can't trade them, they could print them out and send them to my home. Unfortunately, some of the shares have "disappeared untraceably".
And much more specifically: The FRG has also nationalized Gazprom Germania GmbH, which is a direct breach of the law. This company rightfully belongs to @Gigantic and to me and all other German citizens who had such ADRs in their securities accounts. The government should have compensated German citizens on a pro rata basis at the latest when it started using buildings, machinery and infrastructure that did not belong to it. Or at least buy up the ADRs stored in Germany.
