Joy gone for the time being

I was looking forward to the spin-off and the split at $ULVR (+0,53 %) . But now comes a bit of disillusionment.

According to ChatGpt, my purchase price at $MICC (+4,35 %) will no longer be adjusted and is therefore around €45. This is of course more than annoying and I don't think the share can reach this price level.

Who feels the same way?

The ice has unfortunately broken and melted. 😒

The purchase price is individual for everyone and depends on the purchase price of the original Unilever position.
I don't know whether it will be adjusted again in some form or not. But I wouldn't rely 100% on chatgpt either.

@DividendenWaschbaer Normally, the cost price of sc is left as it is and the price of the main investment goes down. The Unilever position should therefore now be slightly positive

@DividendenWaschbaer yep. I actually think it's smarter. Most people sell the spinoffs and don't trigger a tax effect. For those who hold the shares, it is irrelevant. Of course, it looks stupid to have a position that is down 50 to 70%

What does the GPT chat mean that your purchase price will no longer be adjusted? Your broker is responsible for that.
And even if it's 45 euros, what's the problem?
I prefer it that way, because I don't have to pay taxes when I sell it. At solventum, a cost price of €0 was set at the time, which meant that I had to pay tax on the entire sale proceeds.

@Solitair that was my first port of call for information. Which of course makes sense in the end, most of the time. I'm holding the new shares for now. I don't see any reason to sell now.
