What impact does a company with €6.5 billion market cap have on the global economy of a sector? Are they really that big a pillar of the whole industry around payment service providers?

@Staatsmann apparently an indicator for many investors, because other prices in the sector fell immediately. For me, it means that utopian P/E ratios are being sold off and these stocks are recalibrating. The business model is still profitable and sustainable.

@7Trader I also see so! This is now the second payment service provider after Adyen to deliver a very subdued outlook, so the sector is in correction mode, as investors are becoming more cautious and fear that other players in the sector surprise negatively similar to the solar sector.

$ADYEN has also recently crashed brutally. Payment processor from the Netherlands. But I didn't look into it. It seems that something is really going on in the industry right now.
