Mutares SE & Co. KGaA (ISIN: DE000A2NB650) has successfully completed the acquisition of Venator Chemicals France SAS, Venator International France SAS and Venator Pigments France SAS (together "Venator Pigments France") from Venator France SAS. The company thus strengthens the newly established Chemicals & Materials segment as a new platform.
Venator Pigments France is one of the leading European producers of ultramarine blue, violet and pink pigments used in a wide range of applications including plastics, cosmetics, paints and coatings, building materials and artists' colors. The production site in Comines, France, near the Belgian border, can look back on almost a century of industrial tradition and technical expertise. With around 110 employees, the company generates annual sales of around EUR 35 million. It benefits from a solid market position, ranks second in the world for technical ultramarine pigments and has long-standing relationships with well-known customers and trading partners in Europe, Asia and America.
For Mutares, the acquisition of Venator Pigments France represents a strategic milestone in its expansion into the Chemicals & Materials segment, which was initiated with the signing of the agreement to acquire SABIC's ETP business earlier this year. This transaction will open up significant synergies and further growth opportunities.
