Growth potential with burgers🏆?

A few years ago I was the first time in Hong Kong & have in the course of the visit also come across Shake Shack. Very nice burger (you must try on occasion)....In particular in Hong Kong a TOP view while eating👀! But regardless of my taste buds in the following a few info about the company.

Simple burger joint🍔?

Shake Shack doesn't just offer simple burger menus with fries, they also offer exclusive products like Brooklyn Brewery's Shackmeister beer. In addition, local desserts & craft beers are offered as well as exclusive red and white wines developed. In addition, the company works with a natural menu, which also avoids protein from animals treated with antibiotics & hormones.

Moderate growth📈

The company has a total of 339 stores, which are located in a wide range of regions. The management also plans to increase the number of stores in China eightfold within the next 10 years. The management also sees the Asian market as an opportunity for further growth.

Since 2016, the percentage change in the number of stores has been +197%.

🔺Sales growth since 2016 is 95%

Have you tried anything from Shake Shack & if so, what did you think of the food😝?

Do you hold shares in the company or are you looking at other stocks in the industry🧐?

I went to Shake Shack in NYC and it was just mega. 🤤🤤 Have already been on the lookout in Europe, but only available in Amsterdam or London (which would be reasonably close) 😅

@sinus_2pi Uh, Amsterdam now too? Damn, to-do-list extended... Unfortunately I've never been to one, but I know a few US friends who only rave about Shake Shack or In-n-Out Burger.

Just looked it up again. Two years ago, I think there was one in Amsterdam. But apparently not anymore 😑😭

@sinus_2pi Wow, what a merry-go-round of emotions you're causing here! :-D There's a Five Guys opening in HH soon - something different from the classic fast food stuff (but nothing as brilliant as Burgerlich or PeterPane), I'll check my inner compass straight away. :-)

I am mainly waiting for the IPO of FIVE GUYS, unfortunately there are currently no more than rumors - they are much more strongly represented on German/European soil and are also expanding moderately (Shack is unfortunately almost only represented in NA, here and there also in the UK or in the Arab region), in itself also one of the older, more established chains, revenue ~$830m (2016). The question remains whether they will all be able to carry the momentum into the post-corona era! I'm quite unsure about that...

@Frostnacht That is certainly the question that remains unanswered...& FIVE GUYS is of course a delicious item🤪 Here too, I can only recommend the burgers

@FinanceShopfloor Thank you! Shake Shack had at least announced that it would reach its target of 55 stores in China by 2030. In addition, up to 40 locations are to be opened in Asia this year and up to 50 next year. I am not yet aware whether further target markets will be targeted in the following years😝 To be honest, I would answer the question regarding regulation against fast food with a yes...why? Basically, it seems questionable to me how a government can "pressurize" its own companies in order to stop further growth, which therefore also promotes the economy. I don't think that Shake Shack can grow at the "fast" pace of Tencent, for example, so I think that possible regulation is still some way off. Nevertheless, the political risk is there & it is just as difficult to imagine that an industry would remain "unscathed". What do you think about this?
