1. Special Tranche

My goal: 10% crypto in a 100k portfolio.

The reason for moving this up: the impending tax changes for crypto in Germany.

Who knows how long the one-year speculation period will remain tax-free—today, the first special tranche in $BTC (+0,61 %)
$SOL (+1,8 %) & $ETH (+1,82 %) placed.

I realize it’s not a done deal yet, but I’m convinced it’s coming—that’s why I’m picking up the pace a bit.

It would actually be pretty funny if Lars ended up driving up the price of Bitcoin because of his plans, since a lot of people in Germany are going to be buying up a lot more before December 31. And in the end, he won't even benefit from it, since it's (presumably) tax-free.

@Psychedelic_Sunflower It's great if German savers discover that Bitcoin is a sensible addition to their investment portfolio. But do you seriously think that this group will actually drive up the price of Bitcoin? 😏

@Psychedelic_Sunflower I can't imagine that...you'd need institutional investors for that. Retail investors, especially given the small trading volumes in Germany, won't make a dent in the market.
The German government needs money, and this speculation tax is money for the taking...I think it’s inevitable, but let’s wait and see.

Even if it doesn’t happen... at least I’ve already maxed out my 10% allocation and can focus more on stocks during the next bull run.
