All the more reason: Why????
••
@DonkeyInvestor An income component in my portfolio—why not? I’m happy to take a 5% price gain in my portfolio and a solid dividend. If you know of a better dividend-paying ETF, bring it on. But please, nothing as trashy as $O.

@DonkeyInvestor But I'm not an AllWorld fanboy. So everyone is free to invest in whatever they like, right? For example, I wouldn't feel comfortable having more than 20% Bitcoin in my portfolio. But I don't criticize it if someone else is comfortable with that...

@Keineui You post your purchases publicly—on a platform with social media features. Social media is, among other things, about exchange. But clearly, you don’t want an exchange. You want approval. That’s not going to work, though. Suggested solutions:
1) Don’t post anything (except something like “Peace for the world,” for which you’ll only get approval)
2) Block people with different opinions. Like that tech stock guy. Is he even around anymore?
3) Accept that other people have different opinions
Which path will you take?

@DonkeyInvestor I'm posting this and sharing my thoughts. I'll also explain why, in response to your question. But it seems like you just want people to agree with your position; otherwise, you’d accept why I invest in $TDIV and $WINC or why I don’t like the AllWorld ETF (aside from the fact that it includes companies I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole).
And let’s be honest—on the GQ feed, everyone appreciates a little encouragement and validation.
Simpsons’ YouTube link, posted without comment under every stock he doesn’t like, is just as value-neutral as it makes just as much sense to write to someone that an AllWorld ETF with a 1.X% dividend yield would be a better fit for them, when you don’t even know what my goals are. I just wrote that I want a higher dividend—what am I supposed to do with $VWRL? That’s not a tip; it’s just posting nonsense from the site because you apparently place more value on growth, which is absolutely justified and fine. I’m asking for a better dividend, and you mention VWRL?! Sorry, but that’s not a helpful response. You might as well recommend $NVDA to me, since their dividend growth is so great.
Besides, my portfolio already has enough growth for my taste, and I want a position that generates stable dividends—which is where TDIV and WINC come into play for me.
Suggested solution (actually, your Solution 3 is already the best, but since you explicitly want another response):
1) If you ask “who” and “why,” listen to the answer and don’t keep insisting on why it can’t be done differently.
2) Ignore or block me if you’re not satisfied with my response.

@Keineui Wonderful. That's a useful explanation that I can understand. It's different from a post that just says "WINC" and answers "Why not?" to the question "Why?" 👍
••
@DonkeyInvestor Sorry, but that's a bit lame, isn't it? Because my first reply already explained why. And it wasn't just a simple "why not." But I'm glad I was able to give you an answer you're happy with. If you put in the effort, it sometimes works out. You should try that with your posts sometime ;)
••
@Keineui Okay. Next time I'll just post one word. Just like you. That'll be better 👍

I'm on Team " $TDIV " too 👍

•@DonkeyInvestor Oh, so you were referring to the original post and would have liked to see comments or explanations there. I see. Unfortunately, GQ often deletes posts when they’re being created, and if I didn’t copy them—which I usually do—I’m sometimes too lazy to edit them again. I’m sorry, but it’s more of a bug with GQ and only partly my fault. I understand, though.
