AppLovin: Leading in mobile advertising and app marketing

$APP (-6,81 %)

The year 2024 came to an end. It is therefore worth taking a look at the leading stocks that put in an outstanding performance in 2024. The focus is on stocks that tended to belong to the second tier at the start of 2024. These are also companies with exciting stories that could ensure that the respective share continues to perform strongly in 2025.

AppLovin: Leader in mobile advertising and app marketing

AppLovin (APP) is a leading company in the field of mobile marketing and advertising ("mobile advertising"). It offers a platform for app developers that enables them to monetize their applications efficiently and increase their reach. The company provides technologies that enable targeted advertising and the analysis of user behavior. The AppLovin Growth platform product is particularly well known and helps developers to maximize the monetization of their apps through data-driven marketing and tailored advertising strategies. The big story playing out in the market is probably that AppLovin has established itself as an innovator in the "mobile advertising" space. Through acquisitions, such as the takeover of Adjust (a mobile analytics company), AppLovin has further strengthened its market position. The mobile marketing market is growing rapidly as more and more companies rely on mobile platforms to reach their customers. AppLovin is using this development to further expand its tools and develop new partnerships that improve the reach and effectiveness of its platform. The share performance in 2024 was tremendous. The share price shot up by over 700 %. The market capitalization amounts to a good USD 112.5 billion. This means that AppLovin is probably no longer a second-tier company.

@SemiGrowth
Still with us?

@Tenbagger2024 sure, the numbers will be great

@SemiGrowth
Yes, I'm really looking forward to it.

@Tenbagger2024 I actually thought that they might still fall after a beat because of the valuation. But after the Palantir figures and their pump, I'm optimistic. I also think the expectations are far too low. But we'll see

I have the impression that this is a small money-printing machine. The margins are inspiring. You take cash out of the pockets of young people in the gaming sector. Then again via advertising and via marketing and monetization of apps.

@Tenbagger2024 Yes, and you have a monopoly, if I remember correctly. Also high switching costs

@SemiGrowth
That's how I saw it at the time and that's why I got in. As always, unfortunately with too small a position

@Tenbagger2024 fr, I've never invested so little in a position. But it's now my 4th largest

@BamBamInvest Forward P/S is now at 20, which is expensive. But also e.g.:
Nvidia - 18.1
PLTR - 52
CRWD - 18.5

@SemiGrowth
You also have to take a look at the growth

@SemiGrowth That's clear, provided they can maintain their growth. But it went too fast for me, too well, I would wait for a setback if you are not yet invested. But I haven't looked at the company yet either 😁

@BamBamInvest
The PEG falls below 1 for a growth stock that has only been profitable for 2 years.

They have complete domination on their field, an amazing growth history and probably a bright furure. But also a rich valuation at this point though. I’m still holding it with a 780% profit and not planning to sell, but I am defenetely not buying now more shares, it would be too much exposure in the same stock and I expect a consolidation phase now.
