50,000 achieved & performance that motivates

Brief update: My portfolio has cracked the 50,000 mark and I'm really pleased with its performance. In terms of the capital invested, I'm up around 16% with the price gains, and a good CHF 600 in dividends have already been received since the start. This results in a total return of around CHF 7.5k after costs.

$VWRL (+0,2 %) delivers a solid plus, $VFEM (+0,84 %) has achieved double-digit growth and $BTC (-0,48 %) was recently the strongest driver with a significant premium. This is exactly how it should continue, even though I am aware that it could wobble again at any time.

The dividend target of CHF 500/year has been achieved and should increase somewhat over the course of the year. I am pleased with the interim result and will continue as before.

Greetings superhero

16% over just under 4 years is 4% p.a. Let's leave it at that

@Divident_e Thanks for the tip, brief classification: From 2022 to the end of 2023, I only saved BTC via DCA at CHF 10/week. Only since the beginning of 2024 have I been investing larger amounts in $VWRL and $VFEM. The "since start" return therefore mixes a long phase with a small investment and the current ETF phase, which is why the p.a. figure appears distorted. For me, the development since 2024 is more relevant.

@superheroman you just don't look at the % in a hurry. Everything else doesn't matter.

a blind man can see what is performing here, the other is doing what it should, keep it up...

Why $VWRL and emerging markets in a ratio of 80:20? I don't understand that. Either all world or just msci world and EM. But that's ok

@ScorpionfromBW good point. 80% $VWRL and 20% $VFEM make a total of around 28-30% EM, because $VWRL itself already contains around 10-12% EM. That is my intention, I weight EM somewhat more heavily. FTSE vs. MSCI is of secondary importance to me.

@superheroman 70:30 msci to EM would probably be the same cheese. Ultimately, you have to know what you're doing yourself

I would also be interested in the answer to the question from @ScorpionfromBW: Why double EM? Otherwise, nice, pure portfolio: I like it! 🥰

@femkelbn see my answer to @ScorpionfromBW. I'm adding $VFEM so that the overall EM rate goes up from around 10-12% to around 30%. If I was only aiming for around 20%, $VFEM should be closer to around 10%. Thank you!
