Poor Dad Index - YTD 2026 🦅

No bets or 50/50 odds for the future.

Just boring companies that are there, have always been there, and will hopefully always be there… at least in my generation.

My portfolio has nothing special about it. I just like industries that work and generate recurring revenue. Something where you don’t have to think long and hardwhether you need the products or not. For me, there are two options:

Do I need it? Or don’t I?

If the company isn’t really necessary , then I don’t want it.

The business models of my companies that I particularly like are:

TJX:
$TJX (-1,18 %)

(Everyone knows it, and almost everyone has been inside at some point.)

McDonald’s:
$MCD (+0,02 %)

(No need to explain.)

CME Group: $CME (+2,01 %)

(A futures exchange—you don’t see it, but the world needs it to function.)

Rollins:
$ROL (-0,62 %)

Pest control (yes, there are government regulations for pest control)

Meta:
$META (-0,98 %)

The companies mentioned above—and every other company in the world—need to reach their customers somehow. Meta can reach almost everyone.

Actually, I don’t comparisons to the index, because a portfolio can perform poorly for years and suddenly after the fifth bad year, it can sky .

That’s how it was for me… After about 6 years, my portfolio, after underperformed outperformed the All World (on a since-inception basis).

On top of that, there are all gains and dividends... after all, profits should be tangible (just my opinion)

Which industries/companies do you find unique?

Maybe someone can suggest some companies to me— that you don’t see, but that are always there?

That would be cool.
