BYD worries

It is not a very large position, but $1211 (+0,36 %) is concerning me.

I have this position voor 1,5 year already and is now for a few months on the same value with 30% in the red for me.

I think it is still a beautiful company, but the geopolitical risks are a bigger issue than I thought in the beginning.

I consider to sell my position to invest it in a company with more potential.


Any opinions about $1211? (+0,36 %)

If it’s not convincing you then sell it. It’s recovering atm so I personally wouldn’t sell. But I am also convinced.

I understand your concerns, but geopolitical risks are always coming and going. I think that as long the company is profitable, it's okay to stay invested. I'll keep my investment.

Phew, I'm in the same boat—I thought about it for a long time and was about to sell, but in the end I decided to hold on for now since I'm not under any pressure. I'm giving BYD one more chance until the end of 2026—we'll see!

@RobHood10 Yes, same for me. It isn't that I have to sell it. But I am looking for a better ROI on the investment I did in $1211. I don't think it will drop any further, but we will see.

I like this company and I think has a lot of potential. Will keep both this and BYD electronics in my portfolio
