Must have been nothing... 😏 Limit losses

After a week of holding, I'm unfortunately out again. We didn't even get to $49 and are instead heading back to $40 🎢 What's more, the volatility is currently extreme and I don't like doing that with leverage 😅

My fingers were tingling to simply let the warrant continue to run, because it doesn't go much lower 🤪 but I've often had the experience that it does go lower and have therefore decided to limit losses early with OS, especially if a quick trend reversal is not recognizable/expectable...

How do you do it with risk management? I've already been knocked out a few times before I got around to not buying more, but realizing losses 📉

Hello everyone 🙋‍♂️

Now that IREN has repeatedly bounced off the 40$ mark, I am long again with factor 3.

After it went well the first time, I have strengthened my position in the portfolio with this OS...

Why factor instead of KO? Because the spread is good here and because the KnockOut is further away (33%)...

Firstly, I think it was the wrong ticket, as a higher capital investment was required. Given the high volatility, I would rather take 25 or 30% with me, or hedge it, and only then enter again at the lower limit.

@Multibagger Yes, I probably had to make that experience once 🙈😉 My original goal was actually to be in it with a low constant leverage, because in the event of a contract being signed, for example where it goes up by 15-20%, I take the whole way up 📈 It worked out back then when there was the Microsoft deal. I took it with a four-factor OS 😛
But you're probably right, a classic knock-out OS would be more suitable at the moment 👍

@Klein-Anleger1 Why is a KO better with high volatility? Without an SL, the risk of a KO is much higher.

@Nevs1848 you can achieve better returns with less capital and higher leverage with lower share price increases.

@Klein-Anleger1 In my opinion, keeping "low leverage" constant does not work. And here we are not even talking about factor certificates, path dependency, implied vola and the Greeks. I can only say that a few weeks or months ago I bought a few certificates with very low leverage, the next day the market went down a bit and since then I've had/lived my own private bear market 🥺 I've already sold a few at a loss and I'm still holding others (see my portfolio). (See my portfolio, if getquin shows this correctly in any way)

I think the momentum in the sector is gone and things are continuing to go slightly downwards rather than upwards.
Similar to $HIMS for about 2 months.

Respect for that, it is sometimes smarter to admit a "mistake" after a short time and take a small loss than to hold on to it and get more and more into it or maybe even buy more because you don't want to admit it. I also speak from painful experience, I generally find this difficult 🥴
