Question about ETF sale at Scalable

Hello Community,

I hope you all had a nice Christmas Eve! I have a quick question: I would like to sell my $VHYL (+0,09 %) completely and put everything into the $TDIV (+0,39 %) put everything into the I know, back and forth empties my pocket, but when I compare the performance, I think it's a good move 👍 I currently hold 1699.0698 shares $VHYL (+0,09 %) I think with Scalable you can only sell whole shares, should I just let the 0.698 continue to run?

Question 2: With such a "large" sum (€117,400), are there any things I need to consider? The ETF has made a profit of approx. 6k! There shouldn't be any tax problems as everything runs via Scalable!

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Wish you all happy holidays 🎄

Of course, a profit of 6k means paying taxes and solidarity surcharge in any case.

2. why the hell do you have so much money in the performance cucumber $VHYL?

@All-in-or-nothing Yes, that's actually a good question 😂 I decided in April to put 200k into 2 ETF's! One accumulating and one divi ETF and went for the Vanguard FTSE All world(accumulating) and the high yield! In retrospect probably a mistake, but oh well 🫤 Check it off and learn from it 😉

@BavarianLion Are you aware of the new allocation?

https://www.vaneck.com/de/de/anlagen/dividend-etf/uebersicht/

Oil must be doing quite well for performance to remain this good.

@All-in-or-nothing Performance cucumber? So there are far worse dividend ETFs and a little diversification never hurts either.......I have both in my savings plan!

@Crash-Propheteus Right, there are always worse ones. But better ones too.😉

@Pezi Yes, I have read that, but I think that the performance is better than $VHYL even with the new allocation 😉 I just like getting a "larger" amount of dividends every quarter! It's motivating and makes me personally feel good.

@All-in-or-nothing Sure, this year like this, next year maybe different.......

I don't like the $VHYL either... To put it mildly.

@Pezi if it pops in Venezuela I am very confident about the oil performance

@Pezi what do you think about new allocation? I can see Exxon, Shell, Pepsi etc. Less finance, more energy. I think good move…

I wouldn't sell completely, 50% and the ones in the $TDIV

PS, the 100 k in the Tesaurierer and 100 k in a div payer is already a contrast, I would probably have taken the Futzi as Dist

@nitroxx I have the FTSE All world (accumulating) as a "pension fund", as I have never paid a single cent into the state pension scheme! I will save €1000 a month for another 35 years and then hope that the fund will provide for me in my old age 😉

So I have both about 50/50, which I've done very well with so far. So why not half and half. You have something of both. But since when have you had the etf that you only have so little book profit? I only have around 40k in it, but 8k of that is profit 😅

@EisenEnte I've had it since April this year! I've now finally decided that I'm going 50/50! The $VHYL and the $TDIV 👍

I wouldn't sell it completely, but possibly a partial sale and then put the proceeds into the VanEck. In my view, both make sense and complement each other well.

@Crash-Propheteus Actually a good idea, sell half of the $VHYL and put it in the $TDIV!

@BavarianLion This is the way.........👍
Selling fractional shares should work. Especially if you sell your entire position. If you want to sell everything, then I would at least try to sell the total number of pieces including the .0xxx pieces.

You can either sell whole pieces or the entire stock including fragments at Scalable.
It is only not possible to sell only fragments (unless your entire stock consists of fragments).

For example, if you have 3.5 pieces of something, you can sell one or two or three or 3.5 pieces

@DerMartin Thanks for the info 👍

A very good idea!!! 🚀
You can go to "sell everything", then the fragments are also sold. This works with Scalable and Trade Republic...
