Poland's ecological bombs - One man's joy is another man's sorrow ...💰

attachment

A few months have now passed since I joined Mo-Bruk (a €250 million company - most people probably won't know this, so please take another look at the company presentation 🤓).

A lot has happened since then.

Since then, I've been actively trying to keep up with the news flow in a sub on Reddit. So feel free to drop by here too:

https://www.reddit.com/r/MoBruk/s/ipM2wINvoz

But now to the active story:

Ecological Bomben☣️

Since the beginning of the year, the Polish state has been pouring money into removing the many countless landfill sites. It is estimated that there are more than 800 of them lying dormant throughout Poland - an enormous number that can also be found in other Eastern European countries.

A short article takes a closer look at the topic:

The second wave of funds is currently being released to free selected locations from landfills:

In the meantime, Mo-Bruk has already secured around PLN 30 million (~€7 million) in contracts for ecological bombs for 2025 and PLN 20 million (~€5 million) for 2026.

Not listed are two smaller landfills that Mo-Bruk only recently won contracts for:

  • Szopienice - approx. PLN 2.5 million (~€0.6 million)
  • 🔗 Link
  • Dąbrowa Górnicza - approx. PLN 1.8 million (~€0.4 million)
  • 🔗 Link

Szopienice has two different ones.

These are added on top.

Two tenders for ecological bombs, which are particularly large, are running in parallel - but neither is part of the state funding.

📍 Nowe Miszewo

The budget here was PLN 105 million (~€25 million).

Bids can no longer be submitted and it has already been possible to view the bids.

Mo-Bruk was able to submit the most favorable bid here in a consortium with ZUO and its subsidiary RAF Ekologia (PLN 94 million / ~€ 22 million).

The contract is still pending, but would have enormous significance for Mo-Bruk. The contract alone would correspond to around 30% of last year's record turnover.

The landfill is estimated to hold 9,000-18,000 tons of waste. The only question is how it will be divided up with ZUO - but either way, it is a contract with clout.

A bid evaluation could take place in the next few weeks.

📍 Wołomin

The contract budget here is PLN 200 million (~€50 million).

The volume is estimated at 25,000 tons of waste.

The tender ends on December 18, after which the bids will be opened.

And there are many more exciting landfill sites waiting to be removed. I am keeping a particularly close eye on the tenders in Głogów, Rogowiec and Szczekociny, which also stand out due to their enormous contract budgets.

The language barrier didn't always make it easy for me to obtain this information, which is why I often resort to three Polish Twitter users.

The government's measures will run until 2027 and are set to total PLN 500 million.

At the moment, Mo-Bruk seems to me like a bow that is being stretched further and further - the news flow is very good, legal disputes have been put to bed ... only the share price does not yet want to follow suit.

📈 My personal assessment (not a buy recommendation):

If Mo-Bruk wins the contract for Nowe Miszewo, I can well imagine that the share price could shoot up to €75-90 in the short term.

Analysts' estimates often only take into account the core business, which is growing through capacity expansion and acquisitions, in their forecasts for the future - but leave out the additional income from the "eco-bombs". A big mistake in my eyes.

I think that we could end up with sales of PLN 300-350 million this year.

My boring bet with "The Big Scrap" continues ...

I increased my holding to 260 shares after Nowe Miszewo opened its offer. 🛒

You convinced me so much with your presentation that I invested. Not much has happened on the chart so far. But the nice dividend coming at the end of the month is a good consolation. I'm staying in and believe that it will pay off in the future. Thank you! 👍🏻

@Daniel1212 a small addition: the tender for rogowiec has been running since the day before yesterday ... the key points of the tender are very exciting ... let's hope that mobruk uses these opportunities to expand further with this additional income https://x.com/poleposinvest/status/1979066228191727666?s=46

The chart does not yet reflect the many tenders won, even though a huge order in Nowe Miszewo is just around the corner.
Mobruk now has 70% more production capacity and the acquisition of Eco-Point has finally been completed. Next year will see the share buyback program. I am surprised that these prospects coupled with all the tenders are not triggering any fantasies and sending the share price flying.
I continue to buy diligently below €75 and remain patient and hold on...as you know, it's not a sprint ;D

During my research on ecopoint, I noticed a cooperation with EkoSerwis Stettin. They also fight eco bombs. Since mobruk may announce another purchase this year, I could very well imagine that this is ekoserwis. In any case, it fits the strategic orientation (northern Poland and existing synergies with ecopoint)

As I said, have a look on Reddit, I collect everything there very up-to-date ... the procurement is very difficult 🥸

Lg and I'm glad that I could show you a hidden gem

Thanks for the contribution! The company has great potential with low risk, that's what you're looking for 🚀🚮

@Pazzzi I take a similar view. The EU directives alone will continue to support mobruk in the future. Regardless of whether the issue is recycling or landfilling: Poland is forced to create the legal framework for this.
Aggregates such as concrete granulate or RDF are just the thing 👀 and with the prospects for the future, the P/E ratio is really very tempting.

If they win Nowe Miszewo in the next few weeks, the prospects will finally be reflected in the price.

Simply a hidden gem... 💎

Perhaps interesting:

Yesterday I watched an exciting documentary on the illegal waste business... the problem with ecological bombs affects the whole of Eastern Europe ...

@Daxhund Thanks, I'll have a look 👀
The P/E ratio should be viewed with a little caution: The current P/E ratio at $MBR is ~15-16, which sounds very cheap, but you shouldn't compare the valuation levels with those in the USA. In America, waste disposal companies are valued at P/E ratios of around 35-40. 🤯 Of course, it would be nice to see that at $MBR too 😅

@Pazzzi I agree with you.
However, you have to realize that mobruk has 70% more capacity, has bought eco point and will possibly make another purchase.
If you also consider the strong need and high demand for the recycling of illegal landfills, then the P/E ratio of 15 is "cheap" as there will be significantly higher sales in the coming years and, thanks to the nice margins on the eco bombs, also significantly higher profits. A doubling of profits is very realistic in my eyes...with the assumption one is at a kgv of ~7-8😜 at current prices.
The eu directives will also boost the demand for concrete granulate and rdf.

*(If you go to the eco Point website, you will find a partnership with EkoSerwis Szczecin. Mobruk is always looking for synergies, which undoubtedly must exist, otherwise they would not have a partnership with eco point. In addition, ekoserwis is based in northern Poland and also fights eco bombs, which is currently the main goal of mobruk's expansion. For me, therefore, a possible candidate for a takeover🤓)

@Daxhund Very exciting 🤔 Mobruk still has a lot of potential. The share price will certainly adapt to the expansion. We will definitely see fundamental growth soon.
