🟠 New Bitcoin savings plan up and running: Direct to cold wallet & 0% fees! Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

A brief update on my crypto position, which I run separately from my ETFs under "HODL & vergessen": I have just set up a new automated purchase!

From now on, at least CHF 100 will flow into Bitcoin every month. Why exactly CHF 100? Quite simply: With Relai you enjoy up to CHF 100 per month 0% fees (excluding network fees).

🔒 The best thing about the setup: The direct transfer

A particularly cool solution: I don't use the detour via the app's own wallet, but have the BTC transferred after the auto-invest via the savings plan directly to my own cold wallet (hardware wallet) via a savings plan. No manual sending back and forth, maximum security from day one and real ownership according to the motto: Not your keys, not your coins.

For me, this is currently the most relaxed and cheapest way to continuously accumulate Satoshis in Switzerland via DCA (dollar-cost averaging) without worrying about price fluctuations.

How do you buy your BTC? Do you also use your cold wallet directly for savings plans or do you leave your holdings on an exchange?

Awesome! But make sure you read up on UTXO management if you haven't already! Especially if you want to follow the "HODL & forget" strategy, bad or too small UTXOs can cost you dearly later on...

Hello! Thanks for sharing, interesting! I'll take a closer look at Relai! I hold my Satoshis on my Proton wallet, I'm very happy with it. I used to buy via bitpanda but the spread & fees are steep.

By the way, the great thing about Proton is that you can also add a VPN, mail service, online storage, passkey, LLM and much more as a subscription in addition to your wallet. And yes, you can pay via $BTC;)
