I would love some beginner investing advice.

I am gonna start investing and could use some advice. Im 18 and always wanted to invest from 16 but i had financial problems in my family. Im finally gonna have a budget. Im planning to invest in $VUAG (-0,18 %) (S&P 500) Can i have more recommendations and advice around investing? Ty people

Welcome and congratulations on your decision.

Starting at your age makes things much better in the future ahead.

First of all, make sure you have an emergency fund for unfortunate but instant needs of at least 6 of your monthly regular income.

That money should never be used to invest as it's there for the emergencies of life, like sickness or unemployment...

If you're willing to invest, you should know that this is isn't instant magic and the real profits are in the long term investment.

Second, starting with ETFs is the safer way to do it.

And third, make sure you keep studying about this. There's a lot more to learn.

Hi, good decision! My advices are: 1. Start simple 2. Write your goals (think about writing an investing plan for short-medium-long term) 3. Be consistent. 4. Don't panic, you're young.
