Renk & Arx develop AI tanks - now it's getting serious for Rheinmetall

$R3NK (-0,31 %)
$RHM (-0,42 %)

Tanks without drivers: Renk and Arx Robotics want to develop autonomous war machines - in the middle of the armaments boom. The big coup could be just the beginning.

Renk and Arx are developing autonomous tank technologies.

Goal: retrofitting existing tanks with AI software.

Market entry in the USA in 2027, Germany too slow.

In general, a THANK YOU to you and @BamBamInvest for your stock presentations & analyses! It >feels< like you can buy everything blindly. 👏

@ehrlichergauner I like it, well, if you do a bit of research, you can find quite exciting companies, the problem is, there are too many of them 😁.

@BamBamInvest
This is reflected in the fact that I now have 60 positions in my portfolio.

@Tenbagger2024 That's why I try to keep my portfolio small and only select a few companies. Otherwise you can't keep an overview.

So far I have performed well with it.
Due to the number of growth stocks, I often have a banging stock with me where there has been good news. And when things go down, I'm diversified

@Tenbagger2024 Yes, that's right, as long as you are diversified in the sectors and don't just have growth companies, it doesn't really help you in bear markets. But it is also becoming increasingly difficult to achieve an excess return and following 60 companies closely is very time-consuming, if not impossible. But if you want to do it 😁👌

@BamBamInvest
I bought a few extra things in the 🍊 Crash, which is of course paying off now

@Tenbagger2024 but that doesn't change the fact that as an individual you can't keep an eye on 60 stocks at the same time and it takes an incredible amount of time 😁. You also have sufficient diversification with 1/3 of the 60 stocks. But I don't want to tell you what to do or not to do, do it as you see fit, for me personally that would simply be too many stocks, I couldn't go into that much depth. ☺️

@Tenbagger2024 and if your larger positions such as $NVDA and $GFT go into correction, then the 1-2% weighted positions won't help you much either, as you are also very technology-heavy, as I see it now in a hurry. ✌️

@BamBamInvest
Yes, it works. It depends on how many of the others hold out against it

@Tenbagger2024 Don't get me wrong, this is positive for well selected stocks, but when growth rises, almost everything rises. If things get a bit more bumpy, we could see a shift into consumer/healthcare stocks, especially as these sectors have not done well. I'm curious to see what happens next, but with a long investment strategy, you're very well positioned 👍

$R3NK unfortunately also very expensive 🙈

As far as I could see, the growth at renk is higher than at Rheinmetall and the valuation is lower.
And it will probably be difficult to find a cheap share among the European defense companies.
And I don't think the forward P/E ratio is too high

Hmm, the Renk share price is not yet positively affected by this. Everything already priced in? But the AI story wasn't foreseeable, was it ... 🤔

@PIXELINVESTOR The question will be to what extent it helps the soldiers in the field if they have AI assistance. In my view, there will not be an autonomous main battle tank simply because of the doctrine of the vast majority of armed forces. So it will most likely remain a model test and then you take what really makes sense to use in the field. This will not emphasize the people who will at least operate the armoured vehicle.

@StrahlemannLP
Somehow typically German to immediately take a critical view of the whole thing.
In China, it would be an absolute revolution.
For us, it's rubbish.
