Reallocation of gold 🏅into FTSE All World 🌎

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell part of my $4GLD (+1,82 %) after many years of holding it and will soon switch it to the $VWCE (-0,72 %) and will soon reallocate it to the

As a result, my share in $4GLD (+1,82 %) from 55% to approx. 16%.

I no longer expect sufficient returns from gold in the long term. Gold is not suitable for accumulating wealth. The feeling of security has so far prevailed, but I have now decided to take a different path.

Is this the right step? What do you think?

Interesting. What outweighs your sense of security?

@Epi The amount of capital required. The "remainder" of precious metals is enough to give you a feeling of security.

@HoldTheMike Needed to invest in shares? 🤔 That would smell like FOMO.

16% may be enough for a sense of security, but is it really enough in the event of a crisis? How did you calculate the 16%? Why not 10% gold (more shares) or 20% gold (more security)?

@Epi I am looking forward to the answer.

@Epi In the end, it was supposed to be 10%, but the remaining physical gold is of collector's value, so a short-term sale at the local dealer was out of the question.

The short-term purchase of a new vehicle, which was needed immediately for work reasons, meant that capital had to be freed up last year. Part of the deposit had to be used for this. This part is now back in the depot.

The remaining precious metal can be converted into cash within a short space of time. This is enough for the "crises" that are most likely to occur in my world. At least for the first steps.

Further capital, sufficient for any situation, is "tied up", but would be available within 2-3 days. This "addition" only came about this year.

@HoldTheMike Okay, I see. These are of course important factors that a pure risk analysis of the portfolio cannot capture. It all sounds understandable. Good luck! 👍

@Epi Thank you. :)
By the way, I was able to secure my first 3xGTAA certificates today. Finally there too!

@HoldTheMike That fits: change the "stability anchors" from gold to 3xGTAA. 😅

I hope the certificate fits your risk profile.

@Epi Yes, it fits. It completes my satellites. :)

@HoldTheMike Are there still people here who are not in 3xGTAA?

@Gehebeltes-EFH I've asked myself the same thing.

Woe betide you if things don't go as expected for a few months... 🫣

My momentum model kicked gold out at the beginning of May in favor of the Nasdaq and $XDBC. Gold is also out for June in the 3xGTAA. From this perspective, your move is the right one ;-) Since I stubbornly follow the signals of the algorithms in the active part of my portfolio, the heavy heart was kept within limits.
