$6501 (-0,08 %) Why has the price of many Japanese shares fallen by 80% today? I have already noticed 3 of them. Did they all have a split at the same time today?

There are some regulations for Japanese shares as to when they may split. In other words, which months, which dates, etc. Therefore all at once.

@Hotte1909 According to Bloomberg Terminal, the 5:1 stock split at Ebara was not supposed to take place until July 1, which is strange. Let me do some research

@Hotte1909 not all at that ratio. Asics is going from 790million to 3 billion shares. But bot are announced for the 1st of July and Ebra for the 5th, so why the values changed so early is a mystery to me

@risk_minister_341 so I hold Sony as the only single Japanese stock. The reason is more personal than fundamental. Although I am still quite well up. I started buying in 2014 from time to time in between. There is a split in October and the last few weeks have been really good for Sony. If you want to get in, I would wait for a setback. I currently see the bottom at around 72.5. my personal stop is at 65. if the positive trend continues, however, I will move up to 72. the last buy was at 74.8 2 weeks ago
