Europe🌍:
1. Siemens Gamesa lowers outlook
Troubled wind power company Siemens Gamesa has been forced to lower its targets, despite previously expecting a significant loss. Releasing its quarterly figures on Tuesday, the German-Spanish turbine maker warned that returns could potentially fall to as low as minus 5.5 percent instead of the previous minus four percent. The return will also be negative in 2023, it said.
Group CEO Jochen Eickholt said, "The situation remains tight, we observe that material costs continue to rise, at the same time we have long-term contracts that were negotiated in 2021 with significantly lower prices." The Siemens Energy division has been making losses for years.

America🌏:
2. Fiat Chrysler pays $300 million in the U.S.
Automaker Fiat Chrysler has been fined yet another time over the controversy surrounding the manipulation of emissions data in the US. A federal judge in Detroit fined the company about $300 million (about 290 million euros) on Monday (local time) for falsifying emissions data.
The manufacturer, now a subsidiary of global automaker Stellantis, had pleaded guilty in June and reached a settlement with the U.S. Justice Department. Fiat Chrysler said the money was covered by provisions at the time. The court has now approved the settlement.
Authorities in the United States had accused the automaker of lying about the emissions levels of just over 100,000 diesel vehicles. The Justice Department had filed charges in 2017.

The contract is for eight years, beginning in the "middle of the decade," when the first Innoviz-equipped Volkswagen Group vehicles are scheduled to be delivered. Innoviz expects to deliver lidar units for between 5 and 8 million Volkswagen Group vehicles during the eight-year term.
