Hello all
Yesterday I reached a milestone as a young investor. But I doubt if it’s one to brag about. I sold my first share at a loss. Accumulated I closed this position at a loss of around 120 euro’s.
This was something I was afraid to do at first because I thought maybe the stock will go up again. But as I continuously read here on the platform: cut your losses.
Someone recently told me:
“It is better to have a company with bad management in a growing sector than to have a company that’s really well managed but in a shrinking sector.”
And somewhere else I got the following insight:
What to do with a cinema chain that uses its cash flow to grow through acquisitions in a sharply shrinking market?
Also stating that short term quarterly figures are rumoured to disappoint because of a shortage in blockbusters after the strikes in Hollywood, I decided to sell my shares.
Have a good day ✌️
