Carrier vs. Daikin – Who Will Benefit More from the Growing Demand for Cooling?

attachment

Carrier $CARR (-2,15 %)
or Daikin $6367 (-2,55 %)
—which company is more attractive from an investor’s perspective in the long term?

Rising temperatures, growing demand for cooling, heat pumps, energy-efficient building technology, and the boom in data center cooling are creating structural growth potential for both companies.

Carrier Global from the U.S. is currently impressing with higher margins, strong order intake, and excellent momentum in its commercial and data center businesses. Daikin Industries from Japan has a broader global footprint, a very solid balance sheet, and is strongly positioned as an HVAC pure play.

I’ve chosen Daikin because the company provides better diversification for my existing portfolio and also offers margin potential.

How do you see it from an investor’s perspective: Carrier $CARR (-2,15 %)
or Daikin $6367 (-2,55 %)
—and why?

$6367 For your reasons, and because I didn't feel like doing a US company for a change :D I'll throw $WSO into the mix

I also had Watsco on my watchlist because the company is benefiting greatly from the growing HVAC market. In the end, though, I found Daikin more appealing because it allows me to invest more directly in a manufacturer that develops its own technology and products, has a broader global presence, and at the same time provides even better diversification for my portfolio outside the U.S.

I've had $CARR in my portfolio since its IPO and am happy with it. I'm thinking about adding $6367 as well. $TT is also very interesting.
