Hold Thyssen Krupp or sell before spinoff? Target price before ipo 12-16 euros.

$TKA (+4,69 %) I held on to Siemens and unfortunately sold Siemens Energy too early at a loss...you know what happened to it.

With Thyssen I tend to sell beforehand and then only buy TKMS. The share price often falls below the ipo price in the short term. Any opinion on this?

I have had thyssenkrupp for 3 years and am finally back in the profit zone. I'm currently asking myself the same question. At the time, I had the idea that thyssenkrupp would benefit more from the decoupling from Russia and co. It hasn't worked out so far. Especially with regard to steel/industry. At the time, I didn't even have Tkms on my radar in terms of size.

Am up 25%. Only been in for a week. If it continues like this, I'll keep the share even after the TKMS spin-off. I only added it to my portfolio because of TKMS. Thyssen will be added to anyway.

would hold thyssen. it's going up again now. As soon as the divisions are spun off, I think it will get another boost, as the holding will then be even more diversified and supported. Just like Siemens. You can of course build up a second position in tkms, but I would hold the stock due to its massive undervaluation

I am fully backing the spin-off. Unfortunately, I bought too late (over 10.00), but I was still told to "wait and see".
After the cost reduction, everyone is now betting on the turnaround to a real defense company.

How do you think the mother share will behave after the spin-off? I'm currently up 20%, which I don't want to lose.
@AkeOSelman is basically a lottery nobody can say coin toss

@Sand ok. Thank you.

I have the same thoughts. I have been wanting to get rid of the share for some time, as I was no longer convinced by German or European steel. Yesterday there was news of probable tariffs on steel imports outside the EU. Maybe I'll wait and see.
