What about taxation? I am actually a big advocate of non-BaFin-regulated exchanges such as Binance, but in your case the risk of the money being frozen would be too high. I would therefore choose a German exchange, taking the fees into account. And definitely not coinbase, where a lot of accounts have recently been blocked and the money on them frozen.

@DonkeyInvestor Have you ever thought about emigrating? If so, how would this work for tax purposes? I'm currently more and more interested, I would like to emigrate after completing my medical degree
