The future of Tesla

Moin moin. That's quite a rollercoaster with $TSLA (-5,63 %) . Do you think things will continue here next week? When I look at the German news, it looks as if the company will soon be insolvent.

American news, on the other hand, is actually mostly positive.

For me, like Apple, it's a lifestyle product that has lost its former technical edge and innovative strength. The Cybertruck is an absolute flop. They are way behind the curve when it comes to autonomous driving, if the technology works at all in daily use without cameras. But a great stock for short-term trading in a bear market, high volatility in both directions. I trade them every now and then for a few days.

@Multibagger What is your forecast? Thursday is -10% down, Friday -4, but is up to -1. I stupidly opened a short position and then the price went up 🤷‍♂️

I actually always trade the range between 200 and 280 euros. So I go long at around USD 220 and get out and short at around 300. Due to the high volatility, I take KO certificates that are 20-25% above or below these limits. With the short always a little more with the long a little less. So 170 USD for the long. And 350 for the short. I'm not in Tesla at the moment. I had concentrated on other stocks for the long side. But I only ever trade them for the short term and quickly tighten the SL when I'm in profit. A 30-50% gain is better than 200%, which then disappears after a tweet from Ronald McDonald. But I'm not the oracle of Oklahoma and I can't see clairvoyantly, so there are times when total losses occur because the SL no longer work. But the bottom line is that so far this year the strategy has produced a clear plus. Even if not as good as last year

@Bosshaft Funny, I hear that a lot. But if you stick to certain rules, it's not that bad. Here's an example. I buy a KO ticket at USD 220 when the share comes from USD 280/300, i.e. has already lost approx. 20%, for the counter-reaction with KO at USD 170. The share would then have to lose approx. 50% in total without a counter-reaction. This is possible but rather unlikely. The ticket then costs approx. 4.40 euros. If the share only reacts 10-15% to USD 250, the KO rises to approx. EUR 7.00 or by over 50%> this also answers the question of leverage. This is 6-8 on average. It is more important to be patient and wait for the right point. If a share always turns at roughly the same point every time it goes down and up, the probability that it will do so again is quite high. The few times when this doesn't happen are my KOs and are usually influenced by additional external factors. But I agree with you, this strategy is suitable for the least and you do need nerves of steel.

@Turbodizel Sure, waymo is miles ahead of Tesla with 200,000 real trips per week in my opinion. Yes, it's not a car manufacturer, but the technology is much more advanced than that of Tesla.

The future is traded on the stock exchange. Tesla's ability to innovate and its innovative edge has waned. The competition has long since caught up. Added to this is its declining image and decreasing social acceptance. There are much better values.

The day is saw the Cybertruck launch is the day I lost faith in the brand. I did not understand why they took this road in term of design. Since then it was only worst : no real innovation, lots of lies, ... Then Elon show to everyone who he was. For me, $TSLA is manipulated and way overrated.
