Warrant experiment update

Good evening everyone,

Almost two weeks ago I told you about my new portfolio experiment with warrants (https://getqu.in/gCh37k/ ) . Something has happened since then, so here is a brief update.

My starting capital is around €300, so far I have invested €277.74. At the beginning I built up the following positions:

  • 157 € inliner on NVIDIA
  • 120 € inliner on SAP

There was a first change in the portfolio today. I sold the SAP inliner for around € 131 and then bought a Lufthansa 7x long for around € 120.

This currently results in around € 34 in the clearing account. This is made up of a realized profit of €11 and a liquidity buffer of €23 in case I want to add to a position or switch warrants again soon.

Overall, after two weeks with my starting capital of € 300, I currently have a portfolio value of around € 374. Of this, around € 340 is accounted for by the warrants and € 34 by the clearing account. I'm happy with this to start with and I'm excited to see how the experiment develops. As the volatility here is sometimes 20% or more per day, it probably won't get boring any time soon.

Lufthansa Long

I bought the Lufthansa long with a leverage of 7 after @Multibagger shared his idea that there could be a possible downward exaggeration here. In addition, Lufthansa has hedged around 80% of its oil consumption for this year, and the share $LHA (-2,88 %) is currently at the 200-day line. A possible end to the war, as hinted at by Trump, could additionally help the stock break back above the 200-day SMA on a sustained basis.

My exit scenario would be if the share confirms the downward trend in the next few days and closes below €7.51 (today's low).

On the other hand, I initially have two possible target areas in mind:

  • € 8.74 - last week's high
  • 9.53 € - high of the last month

With this in mind, I wish you a pleasant evening.

LG

Lufthansa is actually exciting in general. I wrote something about it before. Subtracting all the liabilities that Lufthansa has results in fixed assets of around 14bn. With a valuation of just under 10bn, this is a bargain in my eyes. Yes, you can argue that the company's assets (most of which are airplanes) don't fetch the amount they are worth on the open market.

TUI would also be a good choice, wouldn't it?
