New Vanguard All-World ex-US ETF

$VXUD (+0,6 %)

Vanguard launched the FTSE All-World ex-U.S. UCITS ETF —a new ETF that I find quite interesting—to the European market.

Key details:

  • ISIN: IE000G1H7OC0
  • Index: FTSE All-World ex US Index
  • TER: 0.12% p.a.
  • Distribution Policy: distributing
  • Domicile: Ireland
  • Xetra ticker: VXUD
  • Trading currency on Xetra: EUR
  • Investment universe: Developed and emerging markets worldwide – excluding the U.S.

What I find interesting about this is not so much that it provides yet another “global ETF,” but rather the exact opposite:

The U.S. is completely excluded, and emerging markets are included in this ETF.

This makes the ETF suitable, for example, for investors who want to deliberately determine their own U.S. exposure.

I also find it interesting as a complement to a portfolio that’s already heavily weighted toward the U.S. Instead of rebalancing existing positions, one could specifically allocate future savings to the non-U.S. portion.

For investors who want to actively manage their U.S. exposure themselves, I find this ETF particularly exciting.

The ETF is also available as a reinvestment fund under the WKNA42B1R ticker.”

Thank you very much 🙏—it’s the perfect addition to my cash flow portfolio. I’d already been considering $AWEX, but the Vanguard option is definitely better for me. It pays dividends, has lower fees, and offers a narrower spread in the long run, since its trading volume will certainly grow faster than that of Xtrackers.
