@Starko my portfolio exists and grows since 16 years now and every single position has its raison d'être. i deal with every single company in detail, no matter if it is a long term investment which will be expanded from time to time or if i consider the position as a trade or even speculation. with mickey mouse positions you probably aim at the latter. since my primary goal is wealth preservation as well as its steady growth, speculation should also only be a small part of my overall portfolio.

@Starko When I look at my performance since 2007 and compare it to the market, I can proudly and rightly claim to have outperformed. The absolute sum that has arisen over time also speaks for itself and justifies a correspondingly diversified portfolio... Amazon, Unilever, etc. also publish financial market reports and ad hocs that should be read and present products/innovations that should be dealt with. Especially with companies in which the majority of the portfolio is invested, one should know exactly what they are doing... and even if they are such big top dogs (keyword: Intel or Washington Mutual)!
