Kontron collapses without news on high volumes 📉

$KTN (+0,69 %) Kontron slumps by up to -23% in early trading. So far, it is impossible to make any sense of this in trading. There is no news. Everyone is wondering what is going on?

UPDATE: LINZ (dpa-AFX) - The Austrian technology group Kontron
intends to use Thursday's share price slide for share buybacks. In the view of the management, the current share price distortions have no basis in Kontron's operational development, the Group announced on Thursday. In view of geopolitical tensions and volatility in the share price development, Kontron is now examining measures to benefit from the sharp downturn in the share price. In particular, the adoption of a share buyback program will be evaluated in the short term within the framework of the legal possibilities, it was further stated. In the morning, the Kontron share fell by 24 percent to its lowest level since April 2025. Most recently, the discount was reduced to 11.5 percent. The Austrian company plans to present its annual report on March 26.

there is still no concrete news as to why this happened yesterday.
i think the management of $KTN is very good and i can't imagine any price manipulation at all

@Sand not uninteresting for an entry! It may well fall a little further in the current phase, as high energy costs are a burden, but in the longer term it will head back towards €30😁

@TomTurboInvest I see a similar target of 30-32 and currently a relatively safe 4 percent dividend on top. I traded voest at 17 to 40 about 1 year ago...worked out well, I think it could be similar here with a little less potential.

Joking aside, that's the risk with low-volume stocks, if a big player goes in with a large market order at the right time, the order book will be cleared. Can this be legally challenged? In my opinion, it will be rather difficult, as it is not forbidden to enter large orders during peak trading hours, even if it appears manipulative mag🤷🏽‍♂️
The big players have the advantage of going in with "hidden orders". For example, 1 million units, but only 100k are ever visible in the order book, and as soon as they are executed, the next 100k become visible until the million units are filled. Such levels are ideal, as many small and larger stops are placed. Fortunately, I didn't have an active stop, otherwise it would have been fished out too. But not that this hasn't already happened to me, it's always annoying, but that's just the way it is when you decide to use stops.

why should the share price fall by 2 digits just because $GS is increasing its share of voting rights. this is even positive and the report is already a day old...

@Faule_Socke As written by @1Chrischi1, this is not the reason for today's share price slide. This mandatory announcement was made yesterday and should be seen as positive when a major shareholder increases his stake.
I'm curious, there's something behind it when a big market participant goes in with large market orders and clears all the stops🧐

They have already pulled such a sh... on October 28, '25. before. Not as flashy as this time, but still -15%. One day later there was the announcement "Kontron lowers sales forecast slightly - profit target remains". Aha, who can believe it.
I won't touch the company again until it goes down to 16.xx.
