It would be really cool if my investment portfolio reached a value of 1.8 million—I could quit working right away since it would cover all my expenses. Since you never know what life has in store, I’m starting by cutting back on my work hours for now. My current earliest retirement age is 57.

@Koenigmidas I always had that 1.8 million figure in mind, too.
Now I want to start withdrawing funds a little earlier, but I’ll take a very conservative approach at first and let my assets grow on their own. I’m already working part-time so I can spend time with my child.
Good luck to you, and thanks for the feedback!

@Wealth-Accelerator To spend time with my child, I took a month of unpaid leave this year to get a sense of my free time and expenses

@Koenigmidas That's great!
I'm taking a bit of an extended parental leave 😅

@Wealth-Accelerator My wife is on full-time parental leave. Since I work abroad, this is only possible if I take unpaid leave.

@Wealth-Accelerator Working from home is a great way to spend more time with your child or children. It’s a form of reduced work hours, but one that’s still paid in full ;-)

@Krush82 Phew 😅
I worked 100% from home for five years and didn't find it all that enviable in terms of working hours and intensity…
