Buy Cardano, yes or no?

$ADA (-0,65 %)
#crypto

Hey everyone,

I'm not quite in the crypto game yet, but I wanted to find out what it's like with a short-term buy-in. What indicators do I need to look at the most and what possible cryptos are out there at the moment.

Unfortunately, the crypto market is extremely hype-driven, especially if you want to take a short-term approach. In theory, you can start a random generator and blindly select something from the top 100 (except stablecoins, of course) and it could bring very good profits in an altcoin season. Short-term indicators for something like this would be, for example, how strong the communities are or whether something is coming up that could provide positive moments and therefore profits. The Trump administration looks crypto-friendly and could boost coins from the US in particular. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of ADA, also seems to be meeting with people from the government more often and offering his help and support. So does the head of Ripple. XRP & ADA, for example, have pretty crazy communities that have been running for years. SOL & XRP, for example, will soon have ETF decisions. SOL & SUI are popular for memecoins. SUI wants to launch its own console soon. AVAX is building on the gaming sector. VeChain is building on supply chain issues. And so on and so forth. Whichever of these things ends up bringing the most positive results and hyping "more", they're the ones that make the most profits. 👍

I am invested and still expect a lot.

@Max095 okay, does cardano somehow have a unique selling point that sets it apart from the others? Or where does the trust in the coin come from?
Imagen de perfil
As far as I know, Cardano's network has never been hacked or had an outage and is currently one of the most secure and trustworthy blockchains. The programmers focus on quality and lots of tests for all measures and developments, rather than quantity and rushing things out. Solana, for example, has already failed several times and Sui also had a failure recently. However, as already mentioned, they still had the "hype" on their side, as they are used for many memecoins etc., as these can be created much more cheaply on these blockchains, among other things.

@opportunity_scout_1182 why are you interested in buying ADA? What made you consider ada? ;)
Imagen de perfil
@LarryLindt I'm trying to reach the first small milestone of €10,000 in the portfolio. The whole thing is going quite well so far and I'm actually only focusing on ETFs and some healthcare stocks. I came across Cardano a good six months ago and put a small amount of money into it. The profits I made were very attractive and now I'm thinking about doing the same thing again, only with a larger amount.

@opportunity_scout_1182 has unfortunately not answered anything.
Why did you invest back then?
If your reason from back then still applies, you can invest again...
Imagen de perfil
@LarryLindt Sorry if the reason didn't come through very clearly, I want to increase my portfolio. If ADA still has growth potential and fits into the current economic situation, I would buy it. Only this time I don't want it to be a small gimmick, but a larger investment

Leave it alone
I've been in the red for almost 4 years.
Buy Bitcoin when it's back below 80/70k and that's it.
That's all you need.

My learning after 5 years of crypto, incl. memecoins, shitcoins etc.

@WolfofNersingen What is your entry at ADA?
Imagen de perfil
@WolfofNersingen really? Even the well known/established ones like Ethereum or Solana?

@Rtan you can buy them. They are not bad. But i am not a big fan of ethereum.
It underperformed way to much in 2024.

Solana could have its peak at 300/400.
So there is potential at all.
But nothing beats Bitcoin
Imagen de perfil
My goal is to sell at 1.50 😅

@Flo1992 I do that too. But only with Bitcoin
I'm Uwe and I'm there too!

I am still up about 90% and I bought at the lowest points. If you are in the red then you have done something wrong. You have to buy when nobody wants it anymore. My father didn't believe and said that when BTC was still at 20k it would go to 0€ and now it's at 100k. Personally, I wouldn't buy any more at the moment, especially not Ada, but there are still coins you can buy.

Indicators: EMA 50,100,200, RSI, MACD, VRVP, resistance/support level

Take a look at BTC at the beginning - it is easy to trade and the "luck factor" is manageable - avoid the news nonsense and don't let yourself be caught by any forecasts. With more volatility, you can then venture into xrp, hbar, SUI, Sol, Ada and others. Stay away from meme coins
Wait for good entries, set SL and TP orders. Leverage <10 at the beginning and keep your individual positions at max. 10% of your capital.

@Pzjs Okay, thank you very much! What are SL and TP orders? I haven't quite understood the levers yet either. Is there any literature that can give me a better insight into this?
Imagen de perfil
@opportunity_scout_1182 Stop loss and take profit. These are limit orders where you liquidate your position to limit the loss or realize profits.
If you haven't had anything to do with leverage yet, don't do that. Put simply, you borrow money/crypto and trade with the borrowed money.

@opportunity_scout_1182 You can find a large community in German on the subject of crypto trading at bitbull Trading, for example
You can have a look on YouTube or basti runs a discord server (free of charge) where you can find a lot about the topic.
Imagen de perfil
@Pzjs Great thanks, I'll take a look. 👍
Imagen de perfil
@opportunity_scout_1182 no matter what you do - never just trade anything you don't understand yourself - unfortunately many people do that in the crypto sector
Imagen de perfil
@Pzjs I can imagine, but so far no purchase has been made. In the event of a purchase, I would handle this via BISON. What do you think? Is there perhaps a better spread for me?
Imagen de perfil
@opportunity_scout_1182 could not report on Bison first hand so I leave it, I trade via phemex and coinbase
Imagen de perfil
Absolut!

Ja ✌🏽

My cardano rule for years was to buy for less than one euro and sell for 1 euro
