Today it clicked - the first dividend from $HTGC (-0,36 %) has landed in my account. 🏦💥 And I'm telling you: no matter how small or large the amount - this feeling is priceless. 😏 It's not just "money", it's proof that your capital is working for you while you're chilling, drinking coffee or playing Nintendo. 🚀 (unfortunately no $7974 (+1,98 %) Nintendo share in my portfolio)

The first dividend is like the first date - exciting, emotional and a foretaste of what's to come.

....then don't immediately squander the fortune that has unexpectedly come your way.....:) I have had this share in my portfolio for several years - and the earnings are automatically reinvested, as with most other securities. Even if the share price has slumped a little - it will come back. I also believe this for the problem child Oxford Lane, of which I have almost 2K shares. THAT is the way... :)

A suggestion: If you automatically reinvest the dividend immediately, or save it with others and then reinvest it, you will notice that the dividend amount picks up a great dynamic after a while. It's really fun, I speak from experience😎🍻
