BYD achieves best monthly sales in October since records began in 2025

In October 2025, BYD Company Limited sold a total of$1211 (+1,77 %) sold a total of 441,706 vehicles.


It is worth noting that the sales figures achieved in October were the highest monthly figure ever achieved this year.

Of the vehicles sold last month, passenger cars accounted for 436,856 units, a decrease of 12.72% year-on-year but an increase of 11.14% month-on-month.

Looking at PV sales in October by drive solution, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) accounted for 222,559 vehicles, an increase of 17.37% year-on-year and an increase of 8.54% month-on-month.


A sales volume of 214,297 units was recorded for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs), which represents a decrease of 31.07% compared to the previous year, but an increase of 13.98% compared to the previous month.


In addition, the company reported foreign sales of 83,524 passenger cars and pick-ups for October.


Sales of BYD's Dynasty and Ocean model series totaled 395,015 units in October. The FANGCHENGBAO, DENZA and YANGWANG brands recorded sales figures of 31,052, 10,135 and 654 units respectively.


In the first ten months of this year, BYD's cumulative sales increased by 13.88% year-on-year to 3,701,852 units.


In the period from January to October, the company sold a total of 785,103 passenger cars and pick-ups in its foreign markets.

Denza could also become interesting for the European market.
In general, the period of consolidation will now begin, as the Chinese government no longer has the requirement for electric cars in its new five-year plan and many smaller Chinese suppliers will fall by the wayside.
Some experts are talking about half of the brands.

I am quite sure about BYD, Xpeng and SAIC. I see Xiaomi and NIO as further candidates for survival.
