Even though I have Sberbank & GAZPROM in my portfolio, I am glad that the EU&US is sending the Russian economy into the stone age with the upcoming 3rd sanctions package. That one can make the entire cash reserves of the oligarchs and above all the Russian central bank quasi useless I did not know. In contrast, the additional exclusion from SWIFT is only an atomic bomb.

If the SWIFT exclusion comes before Monday I will probably lose money, no one knows the exact mechanism. However, I will gladly pay the price. 🇺🇦

@Ch_ris You can go to my profile and read through my latest post, which is primarily about ADRs, but I also have a section on SWIFT under "Related risks". The thing is, nobody knows for sure. But you should plan for a loss of capital due to falling prices

@Ch_ris if what has been reported comes to pass, then Russia's 600 billion 💲 on the high edge of the Russian state will de facto be completely devalued internationally immediately. I can't imagine that China will stand up to the EU & US either. As I said, Swift is nothing against it and that should come on top

Let's see...

@Zaba19 Everything to weaken the regime

That's it. My toilet paper is worth more than the rouble on Monday

@Zaba19 I'm really excited to see what's going on in my portfolio on Monday, fortunately small positions

At this point, I would like to ask @oliverplass: what if those affected by the sanctions (should this happen with the Swift procedures) switch to Bitcoin and Co in the medium term in order to maintain payment transactions? What is rumored?

@GoDividend if the rouble is no longer worth anything, then there are no bitcoins or only very few. Let's see what Monday brings

I'm not up to date just yet, to what extent are cash reserves being sent to the stone age? 😅

@Zaba19 Ah, now I've checked, freeze foreign funds 😅 Top, thanks :)

@RoronoaZoro Well, there are basically 2 aspects. Technically not being able to send/receive money (exclusion from SWIFT) and prohibiting other countries from accepting the money in order to buy something with it. This means that the rouble can only be spent in your own country and is then worth as much as my toilet paper.

@Zaba19 Yes, I already had Swift on my screen before, but I was briefly confused as to what was meant by sending us back to the Stone Age :) But that's how you turn off the tap for those who don't care whether Russia is in Swift or not :)
Imagen de perfil
@RoronoaZoro so it is

"...For this we will block the assets of the Russian Central Bank."

@Zaba19 your toilet paper is probably worth more. 😂

But it affects all banks. Ours too. Russia will not repay any outstanding financing and the banks will be left with the loss.

The Russians will be able to circumvent the Swift agreement in 1-2 months at the latest, simply via other countries such as Kazakhstan.

Welcome to the recession. Putin is now in good company with Assad & al-Mahadi. Congratulations. Within 5 days, due to personal sensitivities, all brought against him. As soon as the Sberbanks outside Russia go bankrupt, the national Sberbank will quickly follow. We know how that works.

@Zaba19 just keep believing in the Gschicht Towarisch and you'll get lots of likes, just not the truth.
