They're slowly turning into a community stock.... That's gone wrong before. Just look at $UKW 🤭😂

@Dividendenopi That said, I think $UKW has performed quite well year-to-date (and also pays a good dividend). I actually considered buying some shares, but I'm trying not to build up too many small positions right now.

@Dividendenopi It’s hard to compare the two positions, isn’t it!? Greencoat UK Wind is a fund, right? Desert Control is currently a high-risk bet—no question about it. But isn’t their business model a reasonable and understandable approach? The company is aggressively tackling the pressing problems facing our planet.
If, even in the medium term, we’re unable to produce an endless supply of energy in a cheap and environmentally friendly way (I assume this won’t happen), then there will be no way around issues like the ones Desert Control is exemplarily tackling.

@MozartsGeist It’s all good. I was just joking. At some point, someone started talking about Greencoat, and one by one, people just kept buying it 😇 People were commenting on when the community would take over the company with their shares. I applied that to Desert Control, since more and more people have been jumping on board lately. Back then, Greencoat had much more substance and paid out decent dividends. Desert Control, on the other hand, is like a casino. I’m convinced by their story, which is why I got in. It’s highly speculative, but if they start to scale up, things are going to take off 🚀
