@Epi I also expect a continuous increase in wages over the next few years. This is especially true if the additional income is distributed equally and the standard of living does not rise excessively.
@Pirat123 I also agree with you, I benefit from the fact that I will see a reasonable increase in my annual income over the next few years and can therefore better balance the two. In addition, I'm not completely giving up what I can do with friends and loved ones, which gives me a lot. I think it depends on the situation :)
@Pirat123 That's right, I'm still relatively young, under 30 and only completed my last apprenticeship a year ago. I've also already completed an apprenticeship and have several years of work experience. Fortunately, this gives me something of a boost.
@Johann_van_der_Smut My salary has the potential to increase significantly for about 6-8 years until the increases come close to an inflation adjustment. This without changing companies every 2-3 years, which could only speed up the process. From a certain point in time, I think the salary will level off around a median between position and professional experience.
@Johann_van_der_Smut it / data engineering. Activities changeable, specializations possible/necessary, dynamic fast-paced environment, all-rounder indispensable. Project staff, mandate management, project manager etc. possible and more. I find it extremely exciting and varied.
