Balancing a tech-heavy portfolio with consumer ETFs ? Makes sense ?

$XDWS (+0,52 %)

i'm thinking of putting about 20k into this ETF as a building block for retirement provision ... as i have very little or almost nothing in the consum area but 85% tech stocks ... that would be a certain compensation ... depending on the situation, I would even increase it to 50 k in the long term ...

consumption goods are also important in times of crisis, everyone has to brush their teeth and work their butts off, or how do you see it ? i don't want to consider world etf, i want to invest in sector etfs out of conviction ....

what do you think about this etf ?

And what about the other sectors that you are underweight?
Should your portfolio simply consist of tech and consumer staples?

@Chv then things start to look different and the ETF suddenly makes sense.

But it's best to divide up the whole portfolio so that you can take a look at the country weighting and concentration.
Otherwise it will be difficult to make qualified statements 😉

@TotallyLost yes, that's a bit more extensive for me ... I have a portfolio with TR for shorting and short things where I currently have a lot going on ... and I'm currently tidying up my long portfolio and want to "consolidate" it and reduce the amount of free play a bit ... I've currently sold a lot there and made some cash ... https://getqu.in/oi3eEQ/
i also have some immo stocks that don't flow in like this but don't need anything in the immo area ... ;-)
I'm also relatively well represented in crypto, which you can't see here ... so for me it's only about LONG in this depot
i have realized about 80k profits in the last two years the current profits are not quite correctly taken over by getquin that has to be mentioned until today i don't know why ...

@Chv that actually looks quite OK.
But I would probably rather get a $EXUS if I were you.
That way you reduce tech and increase your country and sector diversification.
The $XDWS is again >60% USA.

Take a look at EU SmallCap Value $ZPRX, almost no tech and not so heavily dependent on the US economy.
