Stellantis $STLAM (-0,2 %) has announced that it will temporarily cease production at its plants in southern Italy. This is due to falling market demand and the effects of the new Euro 7 emissions standards, which are causing higher costs for petrol and diesel vehicles. Models with lower demand are particularly affected. This measure underlines the challenges facing car manufacturers in Europe due to stricter environmental regulations and changing market conditions.
