I also recently became aware of it. In a nutshell:
AbCellera is a biotech company that uses AI-powered platforms and automated laboratory systems to accelerate the discovery and development of monoclonal antibodies for pharmaceutical partners. It is a so-called "picks-and-shovels" model in the biotech sector - the company does not develop its own drugs (so far), but provides technology for partners, similar to a supplier. It is, as usual in the industry - where it feels like there is only 0 or 1 - a high risk number. Nevertheless, I've thrown a first small tranche of 300 shares into the portfolio. Let's see what comes of it.

One could also mention that Acellera had found the antibodies against Corona at the time. And thus made the vaccinations possible in the first place. Unlike Moderna, Biontech, etc., Abcellera was spared all the hype.
