Hi everyone!

Last week I updated (created an excel document) my investing goals because I needed more structure. I'm confident with most of my goals but there is one thing where I need more feedback on.

(I will eventually share my portfolio and my plan but it's still work in progress. Down below is a short explanation to make things clear.)

My portfolio is based on a 50/50 spread between $NL0013689110 (Meesman Index Fund Worldwide Total (Safe growth)) and dividend stocks atm based in NL.

In "normal" months with 12 hours working a job in a week with a 40 "hour" study I invest 100 in Meesman and 100 in stocks.

My guestion is:

For which price do you buy stocks if the price is 3 euro per buy-in? It's just a quick insider for me if I want to invest once per month, or wait a little longer to reduce transaction cost. 3 euro is a lot if you buy a stock for just 100 euro. Please let me know your insights.

I think 3% is too much. My fees are 10€, I do not buy any less than 2k because of that. So 0.5% for me would be maximum.

@KevinE With Meesman I have 0,25% in transaction cost when I buy-In. My total cost are around 6 euro's with an investment of 2200. With DeGiro I have a lot more (about 60 euro with 2300 in investment (around 3%). To be fair: I made some changes in my portfolio so 2% was reachable.

I'm wondering if there are any cheaper brokers in NL? I think Degiro is good, but the price seems high.

BTW: Never heard of Meesmann before. Is it kind of a Dutch ETF boutique?

@randomdude Meesman is an passive index fund that invests 1 time per week in 95% of the stock market. It's really based on passive investing. So they invest for you.

My fees are between €1 - €3 for monthly investments between €1500 - €2000. If you would like to invest on a regular basis in single stocks than you could use the “zero orders” from Bux. You can place a maximum of 3 zero orders per month (for free). The zero order gets executed at the end of the day between 16:00 - market closing time. Otherwise, if you would like to lower your cost basis you could buy ETF’s from the “core selection” of Degiro for €1 per transaction.

Personally, I strive for a <1% commission on each buy. If this is not obtainable, I will most-likely wait until I have more money .

@Dividend_Danny seems like a good strategy to me.

I do investment through bolero.be, cause I’m located just cross of Dutch border for bigger investments(transaction fees percentage wise lower for big investments) and for micro investment I use Traderepublic. There is a great feature - saving plan with no commission. It executes your selection periodically. Easy way to build a DRIP. Accept my invite via the link to secure a welcome bonus.
