On Browsing Through Other People's Portfolios

Do you know what I secretly love to do? 😉 I browse through other people’s portfolios. When I come across an interesting profile, I like to take a look at the individual holdings in the portfolio.

Of course, there’s a lot of familiar names: the tech giants—Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, etc.; the dividend payers—Bats, P&G, Reality Income, etc.; the core ETFs with the usual global ETFs as accumulators or distributors.

But sometimes I also find really exciting niche picks that I’ve never heard of before.

Want some examples?

$AGNC (-0,38 %) (AGNC Investment). “The company invests in residential mortgage pass-through securities and collateralized mortgage obligations, whose principal and interest payments are guaranteed by a U.S. government-sponsored enterprise or a U.S. government agency.” P/E ratio = 5.6; dividend yield 13.48% (!) -> found in the portfolio of @Reicher_Komponist

$ELO (+2,21 %) (Elopak). “The company offers cardboard-based packaging, filling machines, closures, material handling equipment, secondary packaging, and logistics solutions.” P/E ratio = 12.8, dividend yield 5.3% -> found in the portfolio of @PoorDad

$BWXT (-1,66 %) (BWX Technologies) “...is engaged in the supply and provision of nuclear components and products,” P/E ratio = 40.8, dividend yield 0.67% -> found in the portfolio of @ETF-DIY

$AII (-2,59 %) (Almonty Industries Inc.) “...is a global mining company specializing in the exploration, mining, and processing of tungsten,” P/E ratio = 62.8 -> found in @Tenbagger-Capital and @SAUgut777

$TEP (-0,54 %) (Teleperformance) “…operates in the areas of business process outsourcing, telemarketing, customer relationship management, technical support, and communications services.” P/E ratio = 8.8, dividend yield 6.3% -> found at @Dividendenopi

You're welcome... I guess😅 I discovered Elopak a few years ago through the Lynch glasses, because I always bought that one drink, and I could always see that logo on the bottom (it's not the logo on Getquin). And the crazy thing about this tiny company is: we’re daily customers

Thanks for the compliments. It was a contrarian investment; you can read more about it in my post on the stock forum. It’s one of my top performers so far this year, and at my purchase price, it offers a dividend yield of just under 10%.

I've held AGNC for 5 years… the high dividend makes up for the losses in price… I see it as a bad investment

@nitroxx Hmm, I just took a quick look at the YTD and full-year figures. The value was neutral or slightly up. Have you done a rough estimate of where you'll stand after 5 years, including dividends?

I've had my eye on Almonty for a while, but I kept missing my chance to get in. I think a good growth story could be starting here with the mine in South Korea that opened two months ago.
