🚀 May update: Strategy expansion, +17.45% performance & comeback of old acquaintances

Correction of the June allocation: WDC is exchanged for SNDK, as these are now finally available on wikifolio!!!!

Hello everyone, there's big news for the Momentum project in May! I have added a new side project to my overall strategy: the "Global 1200 Momentum Leaders"-model is officially launched.

In order to keep the reporting clear, I will separate the monthly performance figures. I will present the long-term view (YTD, Last 365 Days etc.) consolidated as the sum of the individual strategies.

📊 The hard facts (consolidated overall strategy)

  • Starting capital May: 41.058,00 €
  • Final capital May: 48.276,00 €
  • Absolute increase in value:
    +7.217,71 €

  • Performance May: +17,45 %
  • Current quarter: +42,65 %
  • Performance YTD: +91,59 %

  • Last 365 Days: +205,58 % (CAGR last 365D: 205.58 %)
  • Since start (10/2023):
    +519,37 % (CAGR since start: 98.33 % 🔥)

My annual target of 50,000 for the end of 2026 is therefore already within reach in May 2026! As I stopped my monthly savings installment some time ago (as it had hardly any impact), this milestone is 100% the work of the momentum machine.

📈 The monthly performance split

US Momentum Leaders (Wikifolio)

  • Monthly performance May:
    +3,86 % (Share of total momentum: 64 %)
  • Insight: A solid month, even if performance was slowed down a little. The reason: Our actual number 1 (SanDisk / SNDK) is unfortunately not tradable in the Wikifolio due to a lack of European trading authorization. We had to enter the race in May with numbers 2 and 3.

Side project: Global 1200 Momentum Leaders

  • Monthly performance May:
    +61,00 % (Share of total momentum: 36 %)

Insight: An absolute rocket launch for the new model,

  • which you can look forward to seeing in detail soon!

🛠️ Rebalancing & portfolio reallocation for June

In the Wikifolio (US Momentum Leaders): Due to a weak monthly performance, both Lumentum $LITE (+1,21 %) as well as Ciena $CIEN (+0,53 %) were removed from the portfolio. Our rule-based system knows no emotions. The two new additions for June are two old acquaintances that already formed the backbone of the portfolio from October to April: Micron Technology $MU (+3,44 %) and Western Digital $WDC (+4,63 %) have truly earned their ticket back into the wiki! Since $SNDK (+1,93 %) is still not tradable on the wiki, we will have to make do with this line-up in June - but the returnees have proven quality.

CORRECTION: WDC will now be changed to SanDisk!!!!!, as a

In the Global 1200 Momentum Leaders model: Everything remains stable here and we enter the new month with the existing May allocation. SanDisk $SNDK (+1,93 %) (USA) and Kioxia ($285A (-0,56 %)
Japan) continue to occupy the undisputed 1st and 2nd places in the current share pool.

Conclusion:

May impressively demonstrated how important the further development of the overall system can be. While the Wikifolio was rather weak this month, the Global 1200 model ignited the performance turbo. An annualized return (CAGR) of over 98% since the start shows in black and white what is possible with focused momentum.

There is an update to announce - $SNDK is now also available on wikifolio - accordingly, Western Digital will be switched to SanDisk as soon as I am able to do so.

I'm looking forward to the presentation. Perhaps the new strategy will also find a place in my wiki depot.

@Krush82 I’ve been invested in 30 shares since June 9 and got in at a good price of €138.55. In total, I’m now invested in 6 Wikifolios, with about €30k. @Epi is, of course, also part of the mix. I’m hoping this will generate excess returns that I haven’t been able to achieve with my own stock picks so far. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the Global 1200 Momentum Leaders model.

@HeFun58 I'm happy for you. I hope most of the Wikifolios bring you the success you're looking for. As for the Global 1200 Momentum Leaders model, I'm just as excited as you are, of course.

@HeFun58 6 Wikifolios? Which ones do you have? I'd be interested to know.

@Epi With your 3xGTAA, I made over €500 in gross profit in April with two short-term trades within a week. However, the fees at Consorsbank were way too high, and so was the spread. Wikifolios aren’t tradable via TR. That’s why I opened an account with justTRADE to trade exclusively Wikifolios there for the long term. My typical position size is usually €5,000. First, I bought DE000LS9U6W1 (27 x 3xGTAA), then 2. DE000LS9ULQ6 Nordstern by Jörn Remus. A very good guy, very active with a solid trading strategy. The Wikifolio held up very well during the storm last week. 3. DE000LS9UNZ3 Alphastars by Michael Bichlmeier, also very successful. 4. DE000LS9VNK3 TSI Strategy Nasdaq Stocks by Florian Riediger. This one took a beating last week. I’m currently down 8% on it. His Wikifolio includes a video explaining his trading strategy. I find it convincing and trustworthy. 5. Rising Star Christian König, aka @Krush82, with DE000LS9VVV3 US Momentum Leaders. I’ve gone out of my way to avoid all the companies that have performed as well as the ones Krush82 has in his Wikifolio. But his success seems to prove him right. With a 14% gain in just a few days, you can’t complain. But I know what volatility means. 6. DE000LS9VFS2 Global Main Indices by Andre Schönrock. He works exclusively with leveraged products. I figured it couldn’t hurt to have someone covering the short side for a change.
Basically, I would never have looked outside the top 10 Wikifolios if I hadn’t become aware, through you, 3xGTAA, and the getquin discussions, that there are other gems to be found there. Your transparency about how much you’ve invested in your Wikifolio was smart. I think your “invested capital” in the Wikifolio will continue to grow.

Top!
Where does the Gl1200 project come from? :-)
Imagen de perfil
@Migu11 This is an extension/modification of the existing US Momentum Leaders model. Details will be announced in an introductory post
1
Don't find it, but you wrote above that there will be news about it soon :) :)
Imagen de perfil
@Krush82 Are you also planning to set up a Wkifolio?
Imagen de perfil
@Migu11 there is also no post about this yet, so you can't find anything yet
Imagen de perfil
@BananaJones I say so.... Everything can, nothing must ;-) I will be prepared for all scenarios and will observe the next weeks/months for now
Imagen de perfil
@Krush82 I've already bookmarked the Wikifolio. I'll be on board as soon as it's open for investment.
Imagen de perfil
@Krush82 very interesting. I came up with the identical stocks after my analysis and also extended the spectrum to the msci world. Kioxia also came out 😅

Well then, good luck and thank you for your contributions.
Imagen de perfil
@Anakreon Thank you and ditto. At the moment it doesn't matter which parameters you use to determine the top momentum stocks ;-) The result will probably always be SanDisk and Kioxia
Imagen de perfil
@Krush82 😂 That's probably true. Unfortunately, I can't trade SanDisk via Scalable - that's a shame
