Back from the US and A

Finally back in beautiful Germany after 3 weeks in the US.

Adding a purchase from the beginning of the week.

And the FTMO competition that ended on August 1st will be drawn tomorrow.

I have to get over the jet lag and catch up on some work in the forest

@Allan- Why always so negative

@Allan- I've traveled to 57 countries on business, so you get to know the countries in a completely different way than when you're sitting in a hotel and strolling through the city in the evening.

For me, Germany is the best overall package.

@ProTox or Hungary

@Allan- It depends on how you look at it. If you're 35, maybe. If you're 25 and come from a modest background, 10 years ago wasn't a good time because it was virtually impossible to participate in the market at a time when many investment goods (including housing in particular) were much more affordable.

@Allan- every government in power is the worst.
That has always been the case 😅

@Dividenden_Monteur I personally don't feel safe here anymore. I live near Bremen and what's going on there now, crime, poverty, drugs, thefts, robberies in the middle of the day. Hamburg, Hanover, Frankfurt are terrible. Every day there's a stabbing somewhere, sexual harassment. Another policeman dead. You don't dare go out in the evening. If that's the best thing for you, that's fine. Christmas markets are canceled, swimming pools closed. Sheer madness

@Allan- That's why I moved away years ago, we lived in Findorff and that was just about to collapse. Since then, everything has been safe here in the countryside, and because of my previous and current job in Bremen, I unfortunately have to confirm that it's "brutal" what goes on in some parts of the city. However, in my home town in Bavaria, a medium-sized city, I can stroll through the alleyways of the city center alone at night with peace of mind. I think it's too much to generalize this to everywhere, even if I do understand you geographically 😉

@Allan- I come from the Ruhr area and now live in Bavaria. It just depends on the location.

@Allan- You can't look at one tiny part and then see it as pars pro toto for the whole of Germany. This country is safer than ever.

USA I'll be back in 46 days 😊
Always a pleasure. Brings you back to reality in Germany

@ProTox why? it's my second home, it's great there, you can move freely everywhere without fear, which is no longer a matter of course here

@Allan- 🫣🫣🤓🤓

@Allan- I don't know what's wrong with you, I can walk comfortably through the pedestrian zone here, shout "Fuck you Merz" and nothing will happen to me... Just shout "Fuck you Muhammad bin Zayid Al Nahyan" out loud in Dubai and see what happens... The difference might surprise you

@GuenDolf I always find it interesting when people extol the supposed "advantages" of an autocratic state - as long as they are not on the "wrong" side.
4
Imagen de perfil
@GuenDolf I wouldn't be so sure about the latter😄 but try bremen central station. I like to talk to someone who lives in his little castle, has no idea what's going on around it and his only problem is the climate crisis😂 Try driving bremen hamburg hannover center in the evening, then we'll talk.

@devnerd_daddy I always see in the morning when I read the newspaper. Stabbing here, police officer dead again, abuse in the swimming pool. I've already read about several stabbings since yesterday, and you talk about security. Christmas markets, swimming pools are closed, major events are canceled. I think you live in the tiny part of Germany where you don't notice all this 😀

Imagen de perfil
@Allan- The crime statistics speak a different language. Or do you want to claim that they are not correct? Maybe you just live in a small part of Germany where things are particularly bad.

Bayreuth.... Where are you from?
Imagen de perfil
Imagen de perfil
@Dividenden_Monteur ah ok, thought rather Upper Franconia 😉
Imagen de perfil
@Sansebastian Bayreuther is one of the tastiest beers in the whole of DE, so it's a bit of a stretch to draw conclusions about its origin 😅
1
Imagen de perfil
@Soprano and this is actually available in every well-stocked drinks store in Germany😅
1
Imagen de perfil
@Soprano no idea where you come from, but Bayreuther is not one of the tastiest 😂😂😂
2
Imagen de perfil
@Sansebastian Probably where not much good beer is brewed 😂 So I'm certainly happy when there's a crate of Bayreuther and not stuff like Krombacher and Becks.
Imagen de perfil
@Soprano then you should come to Franconia 😉
Imagen de perfil
@Soprano Word! A good alternative to Augustiner and Tegernseer!
1
Imagen de perfil
@Soprano You don't have to paint the devil on the wall with Krombacher... 😬 All that's missing is Bitburger and Warsteiner 🤢

@Johann_van_der_Smut Do you know Hasseröder Premium Pils? :D :D :D

$BATS Shares in the depot? 🤭 And a nice beer to go with it 🤤 Cheers and enjoy.

What is the mood in the States with Trump?
Imagen de perfil
@Angstundbange I don't know about the people.
Americans and small talk are a thing.
The customer was pretty annoyed because parcels from us are now stuck in customs for days and production is sometimes at a standstill as a result.

And even by Californian standards, I found it extremely expensive.
A small 10" pizza at Dominos cost 30$, without delivery fee 😵‍💫
Imagen de perfil
@Lumimyrsky1 you can't always talk yourself into everything
Imagen de perfil
@He-Man danke Xena😂😜

Greetings go out to the hinterland! 🍺
Imagen de perfil
@GuenDolf shout out loud in germany fuck you muhammad and see what happens😄
Imagen de perfil
@Allan- so I'll probably neither be locked away nor executed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2
Imagen de perfil
@Allan- call in Dubai Fuck you Muhammad🤣 very bad example old...
2
Imagen de perfil
@SteelAnacott you I have not touted any advantages. The safety of the people should not be considered an advantage, but a matter of course, for example in Dubai.
Imagen de perfil
@Allan- You are safe in Dubai unless you belong to the following groups:
Women: Marital rape is not a punishable offense and the bar for anything that falls under domestic violence is set very high.
Migrant workers, who make up the majority of the population - and by that I mean those who build the hotels, malls, stadiums etc. that you visit, among others, under poor and life-threatening working conditions.
Homosexuals: I don't need to say anything more about their situation in Dubai.
And finally, people who express criticism of the ruling elite or are at least accused of doing so.

In short, if you are male, heterosexual and wealthy and you are not suspected of questioning anything about the local conditions, you will get through life really well. These are totalitarian monarchies that we have gradually abolished in Europe, starting with France, because they are unjust, elitist, arbitrary and tend to be violent systems of rule, and now privileged people are using social media to promote emigration to such systems. Well, congratulations!

You idealize a state in which a large proportion of the inhabitants are exploited and discriminated against, but which offers you advantages, while at the same time complaining about grievances in Germany with people who do not abide by the applicable laws. Am I the only one who sees the irony in this?

So, straight back again? Well, I wanted to go straight back. But it was also because of the weather. 36-42°C is simply better than the weather in Germany.
Because some countries have been thrown in here: Croatia. One of the safest countries in Europe, unless you're wearing the wrong jersey
Imagen de perfil
@devnerd_daddy please provide a link to these crime statistics, yours is probably before 2015?
Imagen de perfil
@Allan- Google is your friend
1
Imagen de perfil
@devnerd_daddy You're so funny. You throw around statistics and can't even name one. If you're going to make a claim, you should be able to back it up with evidence. Why should I google it

@devnerd_daddy you must also take the trouble to read the statistics. What it says confirms what I said 😁😁😁😁 please read through it before it becomes embarrassing for you, below is a small excerpt nice weekend Violent crime by non-German suspects has also increased (+7.5 percent, 2024: 85,012 non-German suspects).
There has also been a significant increase of 9.3% in sexual offenses
