You have to ask yourself this question by now. The day before yesterday I saw a very interesting report about road construction in Germany and whether the infrastructure package has made a difference and whether the effects are being felt.
This is not the case! Not a single new project has been financed from this package.
The CEO of $STR (+1,37 %) who gave a lengthy interview in the report, stated that so far funds have simply been taken out of the Ministry of Transport's normal budget and redistributed, and the gaps have been filled with money from the infrastructure package. This means that a large proportion of the billions will probably flow into projects that are already planned anyway and there will not be a booster.
It can therefore be assumed that the impact on the economy will be much smaller than initially assumed and that it will not be reflected as strongly in corporate balance sheets.
