Experiment: I give an AI €1,000 and do BLINDly what it says - who wants to see what happens?

Hello everyone,

At the end of the year I will receive some additional capital which I had not expected and I will divide it up - a large part will go to my son's portfolio and I have an experiment planned with part of it which I would like to document here if there is any interest.

The idea is simple: I take €1,000 of real money (in a separate gambling account) and leave the decisions entirely to an AI, in this case the new Gemini Pro version.

Important in advanceI have already mentally written off the €1,000. It is pure 'play money' for me. A total loss is therefore fully factored in and won't hurt me financially at all. That's exactly why I want to see what's possible when you replace emotions with algorithms.

The framework conditions:

Starting capital: €1,000

Start: 01.01.2026

Broker: Finanzen.net Zero

AI: Gemini 3 Pro

Target: Maximum return by the end of 2026 (high risk / high reward).

Strategy: Everything is allowed - active trades, crypto, turnaround bets.

The rule: I don't argue. If the AI says "Buy XY", then I press the button. (Unless it's not technically possible).

I have my normal portfolio for retirement provision, but here I want to know: Can the AI beat the market through active management or am I burning the €1,000?

Would you be interested in following this? I would post regular updates on the trades and performance (including screenshots). I was thinking of a 4 week cycle.

What do you think: Will this be a total loss or the way to the moon?

Disclaimer: The whole thing is purely for entertainment and as an experiment. This is expressly not investment advice and not an invitation to imitate. Please do not blindly burn your money.

Sounds exciting, would definitely be interested 👍

@Sonorous a wonderful good evening to you :Do you know someone who does liposuction under full anesthesia :It would be best if the person accepts Bitcoin as a means of payment:Thank you in advance

I'd be interested even with my money, but I'd rather gamble with yours of course 😂

@Creutzfeldt_Jakob I totally understand. If I had expected the money and planned with it, I would never have considered the experiment.

@Nuqqx Why not, I do that every day with my entire portfolio? High risk, high fun, high return! 😂😂 Except that I don't use AI.😉

@Multibagger I'd love to, but I'm a young dad and have a time-consuming job. I don't currently have the time to do this amazing research.
But it's definitely interesting in the long term, maybe when you don't have to work so much when you're young, but we're still working towards that 🤭😉

As there seems to be a lot of interest, I will give you regular updates on the portfolio. Probably every 4 weeks - maybe every 2 weeks, depending on what's going on.
I'm really looking forward to it myself

@Nuqqx You could also create, track & share the portfolio here on Getquin as an (additional) portfolio if you want to provide that much transparency :)

Imagen de perfil
@DiviFlow I will do that anyway - in addition, there will always be updates in text form & screenshots

Of course we are interested.🙂

How often do you ask the AI about the next action? The market situation can change in a flash

Imagen de perfil
@DonkeyInvestor I plan 3-4 times a day. In the morning, in the evening and before the US market closes. I use Gemini daily and will probably even ask questions more often (copy-paste). As an investor, I also follow the news and will also ask about important topics.
2
Imagen de perfil
@Nuqqx How exactly do you formulate your question?
Imagen de perfil
@Multibagger Gemini has already written me the prompt for it, do you want the whole thing? :D

Gemini has also just supplied me with a prompt so that the SCAN runs every hour on autopilot and I always receive a notification. I then only have to provide updates on purchases/sales with quantities

Although I think this is going too far, then this experiment will degenerate

And the AI really gives you the order to act?
Imagen de perfil
@Nuqqx I am only interested in whether you have told her, as you wrote in your initial post, that you want maximum return with the risk of total loss. And how you avoid the fact that a large number of the best trades for the AI are not tradable with your broker. And last but not least, how many positions the AI should divide the €1000 between, or whether it should determine this itself.

@Multibagger I will give the AI the platform on which it trades, its task is under high risk - to achieve maximum return.

I'll refine this and the prompt over the holidays and I'll go into it transparently in the start post

@Nuqqx Hi, I would be very interested in the initial definition of the task for the AI, including the parameters. Maybe I'll do the same here, possibly with a different AI, but also on ZeroNet. Definitely exciting.

Imagen de perfil
@ZaphodB I can share the prompt with you if you want or I will probably post it at the start of the experiment
2
Imagen de perfil
@Nuqqx That would be very nice.
Imagen de perfil
@Nuqqx I would also be interested in the prompt. I had something like that in mind, but less for the community and more for myself.

And whether I'm interested 😁
I've been thinking about such an experiment myself, but I don't have €1000 to spare.
Gemini 3 Pro is also the best tool for me to analyze stocks, followed closely by Claude.

@Faule_Socke then just let me do it for you and look forward to the result :)

Exciting project!

I think there are two things that are still undecided.

1. the prompt for the AI.
2. the implementation of its instructions.

The human factor plays a role in both. And the whole project can fail or succeed because of both.
4
Imagen de perfil
@Epi the prompt was written by the AI itself and the implementation is simply followed. I'll refine it over the holidays and post transparently
1
@Nuqqx could you please share the prompt?
I think it's cool :)

Ah, something like @Multibagger in machine format 😂

@Klein-Anleger1 I would never compare myself to such a legend here

@Klein-Anleger1 There can only be one!😎😂

Interesting experiment, I'm curious to see how it goes. With Chat GPT light I have often noticed how often it confuses stocks and ETFs in its analysis despite specifying an ISIN....hoffe Gemini Pro is better 😁

Imagen de perfil
@JoeyTribbianiJr I previously used Chat GPT and Gemini 3 Pro is worlds better

Imagen de perfil
Sounds good :) I also started back then on 01.01.2024 until now, am at 150% return
2
Imagen de perfil
Please do it!
But be careful, I only switched from zero to Smartbroker+ this year. Zero simply has too limited a selection.
2
Imagen de perfil
@DiviDave thanks for the tip - I'll have to reconsider my choice of broker! :)
Imagen de perfil
Be sure to use the deep research function for validation
2
Imagen de perfil
@FirstCompounder not otherwise anyway, not with the complexity
Total loss I suspect.

very interesting. Please post regular updates. I've already toyed with the idea. Maybe I'll get in, then we can exchange ideas about the promts.

I'm really looking forward to the prompt :-)

Wish you much success and fun :-)

VERY gladly. I've often thought of something similar. If you had some more information about Gemini 3 Pro, it would certainly save some Google research. Zero would also be available here, which makes it easy to compare. What does your parameterization look like at the beginning? If something can be parameterized?

I'm curious to see what Gemini delivers.
I get the following feedback from my AI 😂 :

I understand your request, but I have to be transparent with you here: I can't fulfill this role for fundamental reasons, not technical limitations.
Here's why:
The problem with this setup
1. i am not "emotionless" - i am responsible
- I can't make real financial decisions that put your real money at risk
- "Giving orders" for trades with your capital would be a simulation of responsibility that I cannot bear
- A total loss of your €1,000 is not an abstract scenario - these are real financial consequences for you

You are!
Imagen de perfil
No desire to pursue it. Ki or bank advisor......prefer to take care of your own finances
Imagen de perfil
Which Ki are you using? And above all, what specifications? I noticed big differences between Gemini, Copilot and Chatgpt.

If you do this for a year AND don't take any money out at any point, my prediction would be: money gone (probably long before 365 days).

All he has to do is take the 1000 euros and put them in a risky bet that goes wrong. Money gone.
Mostrar respuesta
Very interesting. I've also been toying with the idea and have already been shown various scenarios. I don't think it will do quite so badly
Mostrar respuesta
Yes for sure we are interested as f**k! You have my follow for this.🤪
Imagen de perfil
how will you do it with gemini? Will it be day trading? Or you're going to prompt it and ask what to buy -> hold -> sell?
Imagen de perfil
So you're basically doing what Reddit does 😉

I had the AI name three stocks as gambles and bought them myself:
- Kraken
- Recursion Pharma
- Elevate Uranium
